UPDATE: Antonio Brown Suspended? - Will Play Wk1- Released - Signs W/ NE!

Recommended Posts

He was my top ranked DnD guy this season.  He's become a running joke.  I'm wondering if the Raiders aren't going to try and recoup some of his signing bonus, depending on the length of time he's suspended.  If they have a clause in his contract where they can take back money for suspensions, this could get interesting.

If you ignored that he needed new feet and that he wasn't going to wear a helmet and that these things kept him from practicing with his new team for most of the preseason and you drafted him anyway, then you probably deserve any subsequent headaches pursuant to that decision.

Time to think about ramifications for FF purposes. Williams now a suitable WR2? Renfrow worth a flex?

Certainly does not help young Jacobs....

That's a lot of guarantee money the Raiders shelled out for this guy.  Mike Mayock think he can control this guy.  Oh boy is he learning the lesson the hard way.

MIke Mayock may have to have a talk with Mike Murlock, whoever he is...

Was off my board entirely once the helmet nonsense happened. He’s begging to be deactivated or traded or something.

In my 2 money leagues I traded AB 2 days ago in one, and play against him in the other.

Feeling a lot better about both than I did an hour ago 😄

For better or worse I have zero shares of him, anywhere.

me too.   I figured the stats in Oakland would not make up for the draft capital spent (ie. he is overvalued) and I didnt like the diva attitude and dont want the headache.

I've got one share of him, drafted in 3rd round. At least I have Waller in that same league where my TEs suck so I am now starting Waller.

well, if they were indeed smart enough to put in a clause whereby they can void the guarantees due to conduct detrimental to the team, then the team is in the drivers seat.   they can void the guarantees and dump him at any time.

I think AB knows the Raiders offense is a dumpster fire and doesn't want to go out there and look bad with the rest of those clowns.   That's why he is crying out and acting like a baby.  Better to be seen as a super talented prima donna not playing than to be seen as a so-so player on a bad offense out on the field.

Is it possible Brown has CTE?  Only a few years ago, he was known as being the hardest working WR in the game, always studying tape and always on the practice field.  Since that massive hit in the playoffs against the Bengals, he hasn't been the same guy.  Each year his attitude has been just a bit worse and his comments have become more off the wall.  Maybe we are legitimately watching a guy self destruct, right in front of us, from a brain injury.  I can't think of anything else that would explain a fall this far.

you might be onto something here.

he does not want his legacy hurt by the bad season or two in Oakland, so hes trying to force them to trade him away to a team of his choosing.   Problem with this is the teams with good functioning offense likely dont want him after all this nonsense.   They'd rather not add him.   Then eventually New England will bring him over and he will light it up.
