Do you wear cloth of disposable mask ? What do you do with it when done ? Hermetically sealed and properly disposed of, right ? I hope so ! It's a deadly highly contagious super virus!

Why would I need to do all that?  It's just the flu.

A bad flu that will kill the fat and unhealthy of this nation. We are not a nation of fat, out of shape losers with comorbidities. Ticking timebombs and their time is up.

Then add in all the mis-classified deaths in the name of $ for hospitals and that's where we are.

I've already explained that the # who have had this is easily double reported (says CDC) and more like 8x the number reported.

Unless you are fatty with health problems. Then you may want to order a casket.

Iowa is one of the fatter states. You can see why he’s concerned.

I'm not concerned, plus, I've already had COVID and recovered.

I'm pretty sure Iowa is about average.  Somewhere in the middle of the most obese states.  The SE states hold the tile for fattest people.

So the 300k additional deaths vs last year were all fat and unhealthy right?

Contrary to some of the initial reports, seems like it dies pretty quickly on surfaces, at least enough so that it’s not contagious.   A dirty mask might get bacteria on it, but bacteria is different than viruses.

My dad was just admitted about 2 hours ago. Dr said he was one of the worst patients he'd seen. CT of the lungs were "awful". He was in Atrial fib. Labs were "awful". He's 76 with multiple underlying conditions. 50/50. He's getting Resdemivir and plasma with a slew of other vitamins. Touch and go. 😔

Thanks. He's had 3 heart attacks. Triple bypass. He's overweight. Borderline diabetic. He's dodged the bullet a few times.

CDC still says surface contact is a way to spread it just not the main way.  Saying a Covid mask just "gets bacteria" on it would be a stretch, no? The main route is through blasts of .03 micron Covid through openings in cloth masks.

I didn’t say ALL masks just get bacteria, I was talking about dirty unwashed ones or people using surgical masks more than once

No, but you were dismissing discarded masks as a form of Covid transmission.

Just curious and not to be insensitive, but did your dad wear a mask?

Has there? Didn't we just discuss a study posted here that deaths were on par as the previous year?

Ok yes I’d agree that that’s what I was getting at.  The risk of transmission via surfaces is low to begin with, and for the most part, people only touch their own dirty unwashed mask, not anyone else’s.

Johns Hopkins pulled the study.  There was an article by some students attempting to debunk it

No they didn’t.   The “study” (webinar) is still available, unedited.  They retracted an article based on the webinar, which is also still available.

The webinar was bad though.  She literally showed a graph showing how there was a huge spike in deaths this year, yet somehow concluded they were “about the same”

You can have a huge spike and then end up at the same average number. :dunno:

Not often. But to be honest, he doesn't leave their house often. He has  terrible back issues and uses a walker. My mom gave it to him. She got it from a group of ladies she plays cards monthly with. She uses a mask in public, but not at her card party.

You can, but that's not what happened, and is evident in the chart she showed in the webinar.

Anyone who even has a basic understanding of an integral knows that graph didn't show the same number of deaths as previous years looking at it for 2 seconds.

This is actually a good answer to kids when they ask, "Why do I need to know this stuff?"

You need to know this so when you grow up to become some economist at John Hopkins, you don't look like a focking idiot.  Seriously, how can anyone possibly look at that graph and conclude deaths are anywhere close to what they were in recent years?

LOL yeah she basically tried to do some crude rounding and say, "eh, they're about the same."

She literally had a line on a slide that said "Normal Number of all deaths per week: 60,000."  According to the CDC the average weekly deaths in 2019 were less than 55,000 (source: https://data.cdc.gov/NCHS/Weekly-Counts-of-Deaths-by-State-and-Select-Causes/muzy-jte6/data) so I guess she was rounding it up to an even 60,000.   This year it's been over 61,500 through 45 weeks, which can round down to 60,000.  See, about the same! But even if we call it 61,000 to be conservative, that's an increase of 6,000 PER WEEK. Over 52 weeks, well what do you know, that's 312,000.

Biden's had the plan to get rid of this virus all along.  Has he implemented it yet, or is he letting all these people continue to die until he is sworn in?
