The court can take any money I have spent considered dispensation of marital assets up until the day the divorce is final and award my ex half

IIRC you left her and the family for some new piece? It’s not going to end well for you regardless so triage is the name of the game.

The fact that IL let's her do it and it's completely fine with all that shlt is what's total BS

Let Da Big Dog Eat 42 Posted July 20, 2020 All right rookies, here's how to do a divorce. First, you get your lawyer to sign an agreement that he will not make nor accept any phone calls from the other lawyer. They both fake them up to bill you and your Ex. Next, you include a clause that says any mail that your lawyer gets must be forwarded to you, unread. If they read it, it's on their nickel. Have your lawyer write the divorce decree. Have them put a clause in the boilerplate that says, "If either party sues the other party after the divorce is granted, the losing party must pay the winning parties lawyer's fees, plus any other defense expenses plus lost wages." Last, your lawyer does not get paid until the divorce is final. Your lawyer will not think about this until you you refuse to pay their fist bill for the above services. Then, your lawyer will for the first time actually wish to finish the divorce knowing that you are not a cash register. Divorce lawyers look at the assets, agree how much they should take, keep you fighting until they have milked you. '

KayJay1971 239 Posted July 20, 2020 My first wife was a horrible person.. Found out after the divorce that she cheated on me multiple times. She didn't want anything in the divorce other than her stuff (clothes and whatnot) and the laptop so she can keep hooking up I assume. We got divorced in just over the 6 months time span. She did get 1/3 of the proceeds from a house that we had bought together but other than that I have not had to deal with her at all. I remarried to a wonderful woman who was in a similar situation with her first husband (cheating). We just celebrated 6 years of marriage last month and still going strong.

She told me the house was undervalued so I said take the house if you think it is worth more and you can sell it for a more than the estimate. She never mentioned it after that. She took mostly Roth investments which was a good move on her part. My lawyer was a friend and she said I was giving up too much but I was just happy to be done.
