If someone says African American, that can be perceived as a person who's American that came from Africa.  But, it's a black person they're talking about.  So they could say "African American" or simply, Black.  Back in the 1980's, it was racist to say Black... you had to call them African American.  Then, African American was bad, so we had to call them Black (weird how Liberals operate).  Now, in order to make group all minorities and pretend they're all oppressed, we call them BIPOC.  In the end, what you call it is irrelevant... we all know what's going on.  CRT is the same thing.

I watched the whole thing.   I disagree with him on a lot but I respect and like MLH and am familiar with his work/commentary.   There was no "own-age" in that segment.    Exactly the opposite.    Lindsay and Boghossian acquitted themselves well and it was an interesting dialog overall.    The majority of the comments on the full segment video were "I wish you 3 would do a 1 hr segment. . ."    Not "MLH - you torched them!"    If you watch the whole thing you'll see that Lindsay's response to MLH after that tweet clip speech left MLH sputtering for a response that he couldn't really come up with and then he had to end the segment.  If there is any criticism of Lindsay in that segment it's that he let his guard down a bit with his "you really know this stuff" statement.    If you watch the whole thing - it's obvious that he is being complimentary of MLH's grasp of the subject and that he's not used to having someone who is supposedly an "expert" who actually does know what he's talking about.    That's a sad commentary on the CRT "experts" out there, not Lindsay.  

Can't send out links that supposedly "back up" your point without actually viewing or reading their source material.    That's some weak stuff and if you want to be taken seriously - that's the wrong direction from that goal. . .

I believe this is a misinterpretation. The point is not that all black people are victims or that all white people are racists.

The point is: we know legal systems discriminating against black people existed in much of America until at least the 1960s. Everything didn’t become equitable overnight. What long-term effects did Jim Crow laws have that might persist today? One example: black people weren’t allowed to get loans or even buy homes in many neighborhoods. The people that bought homes during the days of Jim Crow were able to pay off the home in time, and pass the home or at least the proceeds from the home to their children.  That is generational wealth that black people were not legally allowed to accumulate, while white people were. That’s just one example of things to consider.

Are there other systems that were setup during Jim Crow that never got changed and still contain some biases against black people? None of this says that white people are evil or that black people are victims. It does rightly acknowledge the past and asks what effect history has on the present. I fail to see the problem in looking at such things critically. Pitching it as “stop telling white kids they are evil” is a way to discredit the study, and IMHO it misses the point.

The only theory about race I think about is how incredible things would have been had America not partaken in bringing Africans over here by the boatload for slavery. (Which by the way was happening all over, not just by big bad Americans). Just imagine if we had never purposefully bred and proliferated the hateful, parasitic and reviled worldwide people known as African Americans. Africans would have immigrated over here over time naturally and the culture would be so much different.
