Just kidding. Curious about local Christmas traditions in the city you live in??? There’s a levee off the Mississippi River here that builds twenty + foot bond fires down the river for the kids so Santa knows his way on Christmas Eve. Very cool. All volunteers and great Christmas spirit.

Small gathering of people here tonight.  Just the wife and daughter and my sister in law and maybe her husband??  They got married last summer and have spent the last 6 months fighting daily.  Whatever.  If he doesn't show up, then I will use the ribeye I got him for steak and eggs tomorrow.

We'll do the usual of dinner/dessert, then watch White Christmas.  Vera-Ellen was skinny, but I bet she liked to party.  Rosemary Clooney does nothing for me.

  Neither. All done by the moms and dads. Very cool. They have a contest for who makes the coolest one. A couple of years ago, a group made an alligator one. Took them a month to build. I’ll find a picture.

I'll be around killing time; focking weather is cold and rainy and will be all weekend.   Of course "cold" means in the 50s, but rainy sucks.  Women folk will be baking and wrapping.  I've been working so hard getting the house ready for this that I don't know if I can just sit here and do nothing.

I’ll be up at the crack of dawn watching my kids open their presents, of which they will get too many of. Then I’ll have some down time between that and dinner. This was me last night. 11pm at night and I’m cleaning the stove and the grates on it (we have natural gas). Felt like I couldn’t just sit there when Im cooking and having my family coming over today. Just picked up 8 steaks and grabbed my wife 2 rocking chairs for our front porch for Christmas. Hardest part is getting them inside without her noticing

My wife's uncle drove a snowplow for New Hampshire; always seemed like a fun job, other than you often do it in the middle of the night.
