Ukraine - Doomsday

Gas is $3.75/gallon here.  Inflation is high across the board on a number of items, including necessities like food.  Pointing to any incremental decrease from ridiculous highs is a clown world move and this economy is further being throttled by unnecessary Fed interest rate hikes.  A Russian victory doesn't mean a whole lot either way.  The white nationalist, fascist attempted insults don't really make ay sense here, unless you want me to post photos of UKR soldiers with swastika emblems on their uniforms.  Are you even white?  What color would you expect the population of a Country to be that was founded and stocked by white people?  Were they to have pride in their country, would they be labeled white nationalists by you?  The fock.  Post a picture of you wearing that BK crown.

MAGAturds whine about gas prices and blame Biden, failing to understand supply and demand and simple economics and ignoring the the affects that the Saudies, COVID and the war in Ukraine had on those prices as well other products that have experienced inflation.

They whine and blame Democrats when oilfield workers are out of jobs but don't realize that low oil prices mean less drilling and putting those workers out of jobs.

It's total hypocrisy.

Gas is $3 a gallon where I live, and I'm happy paying that because it's the sweet spot between oilfield employment and not getting hammered at the pump.

You couldn't be more wrong about a Russian victory in Ukraine. In addition to expanding its turf, taking over the world's breadbasket and getting its hands on a rich supply of natural resources, it would create all kinds of regional and global instability.

Russia agreed to leave Ukraine alone in exchange for Ukraine handing over its nukes. Then it broke that agreement by seizing Crimea and obviously again with a total invasion.

There is bipartisan support for Ukraine in this country, and it's the MAGAturds who root for Putin, oppose support and blindly believe whatever right-wing infotainment source tells them to believe. MAGAturds simply parrot what their infotainers say.

It's disgusting.

Oh yeah? Which infotainers are you referring to?  I could care less if there's bipartisan support for wasting more money and lives in UKR.  It's called the uniparty for a reason.  You're talking out of your ass about the price of gas and oilfield employment.  We had lower gas prices and higher production and employment under you know who.  Despite having two experts in the field on this bored, no one has actually stated that we are implementing the idiotic and Bolshevik Green New Deal.  Of course you avoided any discussion about higher fuel (transportation) costs and its effect on everything else.  You're also talking out of your ass about regional and global instability.  The world used to buy oil from Russia.  Now, Western Europe suffers for lack of it.  UKR had been selling grain during the current conflict, with Russia's approval.

You never did tell me if you are white.  BK crown for you.  Wear it proudly as bored King of Clown World.

Oil industry jobs are down.   Oil consumption is back to pre pandemic levels. Rusty still doesn’t understand supply and demand.

http://Ukraine’s counteroffensive is now underway. Here’s what’s happened so far https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/17/europe/ukraine-counteroffensive-explained-hnk-intl

This explains what I mentioned before, that Ukrainians are probing Russian positions and trying to draw Russians here and there. The main thrust of the offensive hasn't revealed itself. It's a chess game. You're too deluded to wrap your quivering Jello of a brain around it, but that's what's going on. What the Ukrainians are doing isn't intended to gain ground, and you can bet the West helped shape the strategy in this. Wake the fock up.

It's a lot more effort to mount an attack than hold a defensive position. The pundits have been predicating/ expecting a Ukrainian offensive since the weather warmed in spring. We're being told the offensive finally is going on now, but if so, if seems underwhelming. OK probing for weakness, fine. As far as I can tell, we've only seen minor flare ups that don't look terribly different than the stalemate going on before the offensive. Both sides seem pretty exhausted. It sure looks like this war is going to continue to drag out into autumn.

Or a lot longer than that. Ukraine doesn't have the air power to complement the offensive.

We should send trillions more over there to help cripple this nation so we can be ripe to get invaded ourselves.

Oh wait, Ukraine would save us if we were in their shoes.

The MSM was going crazy reporting on the Battle of Bakhmut, highlighting successes or potential successes of the Ukraine military.  Then once the city was lost, the entire thing was thrown in the memory hole and they no longer report on how Russia won.  If Ukraine cant score any successes in the counter offensive soon, that too will get thrown in the memory hole.  What Ukrainian counter offensive?  Never heard of it!

So if there are no results on the battlefield soon do we keep throwing money at it?

We'll still be talking about this war 20 years from now. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. Biden was 100% wrong for getting involved at all, it's not his war. He cut a deal with the Devil and is in way too deep.

Pimpledoosh mania. If Ukraine was fully overthrown in the next 24 hours, you would never hear a peep out of him again on this subject. He would just start threads called "Biden up 4 points in poll over T-pump" and the like.

its been media day in the Ukrainian counter offensive.  Ukrainians reportedly releasing fresh footage of their robots laying mines in captured settlements.  Russians reportedly releasing tons of footage of Ukrainian soldiers committing mutiny and surrendering instead of charging into suicidal front lines, showing them be treated well, and explaining they will eventually be exchanged for Russian prisoners of war.  Rumors are lots of Ukrainians surrendered rather than fight last night and Russia is releasing such footage to convince more that its OK to surrender.

Some interesting rumors regarding the Wagner group.  That's the private elite military group Russia uses.  It is rumored that they will be deployed to the "Belgorod region" later this year.  But the thing is, Wagner is an elite unit and specializes in attacking not defending.  There's also rumors of a second wave of ground attacks on Kiev.  So is Russia planning on holding the lines for weeks and wiping out lots of Ukrainian troops this summer, then marching on Kiev again?

The story is stranger than the headline.  We've sent military equipment for 2 years fiscal years now and apparently realized we were giving them gear at MSRP rates and not used book value rates...

We're getting reports that the Ukraine front lines are breaking down near Lyman and Kupiansk.  This is along the eastern front.  Word is that Ukraine left is most inexperienced soldiers there and the Russians were able to break through and the Ukrainians either surrendered en masse or were just captured as POWs and as a result the Russians captured a LOT of territory over the night, cutting Ukrainian supply lines to a number of cities and Russia is now threatening to take both cities.

Western MSM is saying "attacks have intensified" on those regions.

Ukrainian Defenders name 2 reasons for intensification of Russian attacks on Lyman and Kupiansk fronts

Ukrainska Pravda

Wed, June 21, 2023 at 2:27 AM PDT·2 min read

The Russian occupation forces have intensified their assaults on the Lyman and Kupiansk fronts to draw the defenders' forces away from the supply route and reach the administrative border of Luhansk Oblast.

Source: Ukrainska Pravda sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Details: In particular, according to sources in one of the National Guard of Ukraine units, in the afternoon of 20 June, Russians intensified their assault on Ukrainian positions on the Lyman front. Especially around Dibrova (12 km east of liberated Yampil) and Serebrianka Forest. "One of the newly formed and not very well trained units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had to retreat from a small part of its positions," the sources said.

Biden and the focking idiot liberals in this country spending billions and billions and billions on a lost cause since day 1.

And the Ukrainian cheerleaders here in the US are going to feel like those dopes waiting for the Hillary Clinton presidential election speech and simply ending up crying themselves to sleep.

Tomorrow they'll all continue their mission to say men can be women if they want to.

Regardless of what happens to Ukraine.  Putin and Russia have been shown to be completely flaccid.  Russia has lost a huge part of their income and Europe uses far far less Russian oil than before.  NATO has been expanded, unified, and now borders Russia quite bigly.

All of those results came at the price of a couple %'s of our GDP and ZERO US casaulties.

Biden should be given a medal for pulling this off so brilliantly.

China and India are buying plenty of Russian oil.  Exports are up to pre invasion levels. The ruble is largely unchanged.

Biden has also masterfully created a stronger bond between China and Russia.  Increased military coordination and expanded trade partnerships to elbow out the US dollar as much as possible.

not only that, but the US lots of refined oil from India.  So the US is still buying Russian oil.  But at the same time, Russia is allowing Ukraine to export grain for money.  But I think in both cases, its all about trying to separate hating the current political leadership while showing compassion to the people.

Russia's military has been exposed for the dysfunctional crapassery that it is. It took nine months to take a town the size of Muncie, Indiana, a place with little to no military significance but a perfect place for Ukrainians to slaughter Russians and destroy equipment.

LOL

China and Russia hate each other.  China needs the US way way more than Russia and would join the US in a fight against Russia.  China's entire economy would collapse without US trade.

Anyone who claims US support for Ukraine hasn't been a rousing success is either a moron or hates the US.

Smart move by them.

Uh boyo, is the Russian stock market trading again yet?
