No it doesn't.  The earth, and man, have been extremely adaptable to a changing environment for millions of years.  And, while man certainly is contributing to the change currently occurring, the extent of man's contribution is unknown.  Much of these doomsday predictions are based upon computer modeling and do you know how many times their computer models have been right?  Exactly zero so far.  But we should upend our entire economy and civilization based upon faulty computer modeling?  Not me.  And the IPCC has been caught flat out lieing about this issue, with chunks of their reports debunked or disavowed by the very scientists they say signed off on it.  Should we try to be better stewards of the planet we live on?  Sure.  But it's a balance.  Like most things, this is a complicated issue and as long as the people in charge of moving it forward are politicians it's gonna be hard to get a lot of us on board with the revolution.

Great answer.  I'll add to it that until the fear mongerers embrace actual solutions (natural gas to reduce overall emissions, nuclear to eliminate them) instead of solutions designed to punish humankind (wind, solar, things which are nowhere near ready to support a power infrastructure) I'm going to presume they are like any bureaucracy:  they will do what they can to grow their power and influence.  Ask yourself:  can you envision a report from the IPCC which intimates in any way "hey, we've made some good progress, let's keep it up!"  Nope.  It would be like hiring a DEI person, and that person deciding that the company's policies are already good.  Ain't gonna happen, because that person would "report" themselves out of a job.

We'll have viable nuclear fusion in some of our lifetimes:  virtually unlimited power with no emissions.  It will be interesting to see how the climate bureaucracy works to prevent it.  Because they will.
