Trans Kids

Thanks for comparing me to a mass murderer. Even in jest it’s a little disconcerting.

And please don’t tell me what I think. I really do care about these people. And I don’t give a crap about being morally superior.

The phrase "The Road to Hell is paved with good Intentions" is a thing because, y'know, we have real life examples of it.  Like this support of butchering children you and your side has.

Don't worry, you will be judged by history for this, and it isn't going to be pretty for you guys.  It already isn't.

For the sake of argument, let’s say that the number of regrets isn’t less than 1%- let’s say it’s 50%. If half of the people who choose to have a sex change operation come to regret it, should we therefore make it illegal?
I would argue no. This isn’t a public health issue, like Covid, in which we are sometimes forced to make decisions for the benefit of all. This is a private health decision, between a person and their doctor (and in some cases when a minor is involved, their parents). The government has no role in these matters. Nether do you or I. We need to leave these folks alone.

To me the takeaway from the article wasn't that these kids are being "pushed" by the clinics to be trans, but what should be figured out is if they are truly that underfunded, not properly diagnosing patients, and things like that.   It feels like they it's less that they are being pushed towards that and more that these places aren't properly asking if they are trans to begin with and weeding out patients who are not.

For me the line in the sand is if people are making these decisions after knowing all the side effects, after they have been properly diagnosed, you know - the things we would expect to happen if our kids were going through this.    That seems to be where the public health issue is coming in.

These are reasonable points.

These are Kids, they don't know what the hell they are either. As a society shouldn't we pump the breaks a little bit?

It seems to me this is yet another example of us as a society dropping the ball on mental health care and infrastructure.

I think banning all care is truly dumb because there are patients who would truly benefit.    Yes, we should pump the breaks a little bit in that we should have reasonable discussions about why the spikes could be happening and making sure the people that are going into treatments with permanent effects they are aware of those risks and are properly diagnosed.

Ultimately my opinion is all I’ll ever have.

But within 20 years transgenders will be largely accepted by society, viewed by most people as perfectly normal, and your children (if you have any) will be embarrassed if they ever read your old opinions on the matter. The world is moving on. You can accept the change, or stay ignorant. The choice is yours.

Your links are crap, all you got is your sh!try opinion and decades from now you'll prove me wrong.  Got it. 🤣

Tim did a great job at derailing multiple threads on this topic over at FBGs too.  Rofl

In each case the derailment was caused by the person starting the thread. The condemnation of sex change operations by people who know nothing about it but regard the whole thing as disgusting is in itself a derailment of thoughtful discussion.

Just stop.  You don't even know what threads I'm talking about.  Good that you admit that you derail so many threads though.

The biology of sex is real but it’s extremely complicated, not close to the simplicity you’re implying here. This is a good article on the subject:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kimelsesser/2020/06/15/the-myth-of-biological-sex/?sh=a7a67af76b9b

It is in actuality quite close to what I'm saying. Yes there are exceptions, it is not a complete 100% thing, and we should reasonably accommodate them, but we shouldn't set rules to those exceptions (remember when you thought conservatives were the only ones who did this?).

BTW I have nothing against trans people; like HT I worry about the kids.  They are going through confusing hormonal times and our society encourages them to interpret that confusion as being on the spectrum.  To use your words, this is clear, full stop.

Even my most liberal friends think this stuff is complete nonsense.   Just know you weirdos are either 1. Just riding the liberal line or 2. A sick fock.

This is not debatable.

Nope. Many women can’t.

So you acknowledge they aren’t biological women.  Then what are they?

That really isn't saying much. For all we know your "most liberal friends" could still be to the right of Gingues Khan.

Once again, the statistics clearly show that 99% of those who get this operation have no regrets and that includes teenagers. So what makes you think we should stop it?

So a doctor testified at a custody hearing saying the father should not have any custody because he was against his 11 year old going on puberty blockers? That doctor should catch a bullet to the head.

99 pct? Yeah, ok. When did they ask them, a week after the mutilation?

Why don’t you read the study? It’s one of many. They all conclude the same. The vast majority who get this surgery have no regrets whatsoever.

As I wrote earlier, your problem is that you find this stuff disgusting. That’s why you’ll never accept that it might be the healthy choice for people. No amount of facts or statistics will convince you.

I would like to see the context of this before we pass judgement on the doctor's testimony.

I’m guessing the dad is abusive.

So you think there’s a better chance he’s abusive than he just doesn’t want his 11 year old to take puberty blockers?

These bastards need to get their hands off kids.  They have no basis for destroying kids.

This is a 38 page thread. Lots of stories posted here, I don't have the time to go back and read each to see if it is the one you are referring to.

Why the fock do we need 38 pages to say 'women can't transform into men' and 'men can't transform into women'?  They can pretend to want to be the opposite, and no one cares about it.  But the facts about their biology do not change.
