So looks like it was mostly Utoilet defending the cops even after information started coming out.  Not gonna quote him if he’s gone, so here were a couple other quotes I noticed.  Gepetto wanted to defend them, but I think did ultimately come to the realization that these ones sucked.  Baker Boy didn’t exactly defend them but didn’t want to place a focus on them.  They may not have caused this one, but I think if these things get stopped before there are few if any casualties, it will provide less motivation for others to do it.

Not totally related to defending the cops, but I also wanted to bump digby and Big Guy thinking the shooting was a planned conspiracy.  Even Reality said it “seemed sketchy,” seemingly not ruling out that idea but being just vague enough to likely quote me and hurl some personal attacks my way for suggesting that’s what he was saying.

Gepetto’s post doesn’t look bad, as I recall, it took a couple of days before the full  story unfolded as to how poorly they had responded. Baker Boy’ first quote got accidentally eaten. The rest though… those didn’t sit right when posted and didn’t age well either.
