Nah I’m done with bets, but you should know body cams are to monitor officers and collect evidence. They typically don’t disseminate video just to quell curiosity. Obviously that creates huge privacy concerns for victims. Cops didn’t shoot anyone and the case hasn’t gone to trial, so you should know full well why there’s been no body cam footage released.

No, I did not. You betrayed a fundamental lack of understanding about the very purposes and policy of bodycam footage. Just because it happened once or twice doesn’t mean d1ck, it’s the exception that proves the rule. Maybe it got leaked or that particular jurisdiction has extremely liberal public record laws, but generally speaking, if you were a cop, you would know full well that I am right and they aren’t going to release footage just to quell idiotic right wing conspiracy theories

From the reports I have seen his declared intent was not murder, but rather mayhem.  He was going to break her kneecaps.  Now it may be that the trauma from that in a person of her age might have kead to a fatality, but he neither tried to kill her not intended to, from what we know.

 

I do leave open the possibility of death from both knee caps being broken.  Also, in the chaotic situatuion he precipitated who knows if he might not have gone further.

I am actually supportive of taking the proper time to vet the information and make sure they have the truth.  I would prefer that approach. I think it minimizes the passions of the mob and also avoids conflicting information that can lead to suspicion of cover up etc.
