This is what happens as the salary cap keeps rising.  The last QB to sign is usually the highest paid.  Look at Mahomes contract, it's a bargain.

That being said, as the biggest giants fan on the board, I don't want to pay Danny boy $45M/yr, and he's not getting that anywhere.  Franchise him, then decide next year

I don't get the hype on Lamar Jackson.

He had a great 2019 season but has been an injury-prone bust for the most part the last two years.

Naw, I scored press passes to a Giants-Cowboys game. I think it was in 1990. I went with a photographer, who spent the game down on the field.

The media suite was awesome. All the free food and booze you wanted.

Reporters hardly had to do anything. There were handouts noting all the plays as well as quotes. 

After the game, I went down onto the field, where the photographer got pics of me and one of the Cowboys cheerleaders. I've still got that photo lying around somewhere.

Then we went to the locker rooms, first to the glum Cowboys locker room. They'd gotten their asses kicked. Troy Aikman had just gotten out of the shower. I didn't ask any questions and then went over to the Giant locker.

Taylor walked out of the shower and wrapped himself in a towel, and reporters gathered around him to ask questions.

I stood on the outside of that, and he looked over at me and said, "WHO THE FOCK ARE YOU? "

I guess he was used to the same reporters asking questions and saw an unfamiliar face.

I was terrified and mumbled who I was and where I was from, and he started laughing and told me to ask him a question.

I asked him something but didn't remember what.

On the way home, I sat on the passenger side and wrote the game story on some clunky laptop.

That would be a huge mistake for the G-Men, but it's going to happen. What's the point? The Giants aren't winning the NFC East anytime soon. I can see inking Jones to a short term, team friendly deal but not Barkley, he's gotta go.

BTW the Boston press is trying to pump some rumors that Aaron Rodgers is a Patriot next year.  Or at the very least to dump Jones and play Zappe for a season as a stopgap.  The Boston press really seems to hate Jones.

Mac Jones was fine until they brought pencil head in to run the offense. He'll be much better under Bill O'Brien.
