As far as the rest of what happened on Jan 6: most of the video that has been previously presented show much violence and dire threats. This latest video doesn’t disprove the prior video, any more than a video of a peaceful George Floyd protest would disprove the looting and burning that took place elsewhere. So while I understand the constant need around here to rewrite the narrative and condemn the mainstream media, I think that, as usual, you guys have missed the mark.

It was my error for writing that this was part of the actual report. If you want to hang your hat on that distinction, so be it. I've never called it an armed insurrection, although there were armed people in the mob. It was a bunch of idiots who thought Trump had directed them to do what they did, the proof of that being that they stopped once he got off his fat, orange ass and told them to. They built a gallows, and that gallows wasn't built from scrap material they found lying around the grounds of the Capitol. This was a planned thing. I have little doubt that these idiots would have hung Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi had they gotten their hands on them. 

Around 140 officers were injured in that attack.

My issue is the ongoing far-right attempts to whitewash Jan. 6 into a nothing burger, pointing to the summer 2020 riots, pointing to the people who strolled around and took selfies, pointing to the cops who seemingly did nothing.
