Biden vs Trump…again.

The main question is why are you GOP’ers voting for this guy? I am hanging my hat on the fact there isn’t anyone else in the race…but when is this happening and when will it suddenly happen. Ronald is shettibg the bed. It’s still training camp I suppose to make a football analogy but he’s looking shaky as hell.

I am with those of you who think Trump won’t win the nom. Let’s work together to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Biden winning the nom would be far worse for America than Trump winning the nom

It looks inevitable…

I get that, given this choice, most conservatives here and elsewhere will vote for Trump. And I’m sure most of you get that, given this choice, most liberals here and elsewhere will vote for Biden.

And we’ll have those arguments. But for now, aren’t all of you as depressed as I am that this appears to be the choice we’re going to have to make? How the fock did we get here? What are we doing wrong as a society to get here? This is awful.

We got here by being so deeply rooted in a two party system and most people blindly following what mommy and daddy told them growing up… and then blindly following what their media tells them.
If an independent can’t win right now, how much worse could it possibly get before we consider getting away from the status quo?

im not saying there is currently an independent candidate worth considering, but part of that may be that everyone knows they would have no shot. I don’t believe Trump is really a republican, for example. If someone were able to run not as a dem or repub and have a legit chance to win, I’m not so sure he runs as a republican in 2016… but it was obviously the closer alignment and his best chance.

What would Obama have anything to do with this? This isn’t as simple as a black man becoming President and voila everything is hunky dory.

The idea that electing Trump somehow then fixes anything in that regard is kind of laughable to me.

In any case the whole of the county was in a much better position when Obama handed the keys off than when Trump did. I don’t blame Covid on Trump solely of course just like I wouldn’t blame race relations solely on Obama but it’s just the fact. Biden was dealt a shet hand. He’s been adequate.

Signing back up for a Trump run is insanity to me was my original point. I can’t wrap my brain around how you all would pick him again. I still don’t think he’ll be the nom but I am definitely beginning to waver.

Real simple. I don’t like war

If Trump really wanted to have fun, he should switch over to the Democratic party and primary against Biden.

I wouldn’t expect them to have these if Biden is running.

Here’s the main problem with supporting a third party candidate: I’m terrified that if I do it, it will only help the guy I don’t want to win, win.

I suspect most people, both Republicans and Democrats, feel this way, which is why there is always talk about the third guy, in the end most voters vote the way they’ve always voted, Republican or Democrat. They just won’t take the chance of losing the election. I don’t see any way out of this.

Because I am a one issue voter and I don't give a shiite who the "guy" is that they are putting up there. They all lie. None of them care about the people.

I used to be Democrat. Then I switched to Independent. Then I was "no party." Now I am Republican.

Simply because if I look back over the years, I can literally see when I, and my family was doing much better. It wasn't during Obama. It's not now during Biden. I can' count Clinton because I wasn't old enough to vote, but I do remember those years. Bush Jr were decent years, I got married, started a family, was able to buy a house during the first CA "boom/crash" and come out okay on the other side.

But Obama and Biden? No thank you.

I live in a blue state and I've seen what blue cities look like first hand. I used to travel to San Francisco on a regular basis for work and I've seen it become trash. I've seen the local communities become trash. I literally experienced people moving out of the "blue cities" into the red ones because they were "too expensive" and thus drove up housing and other prices to exponential levels across the state.

I won't ever vote blue ever again. The policies destroy cities, states, and eventually the country.

Also, I think Biden is mentally deteriorating and I think it's abuse that they are allowing him to be in office. He has dementia and cognitive issues. You can literally see it in how he walks, his mannerisms, etc. He doesn't even need to open his mouth and you can see the mental decline. He needs to just live out the rest of his days in private.

No, your question was why are "you GOPers" voting for this guy.

And I told you why *I* would vote for him. I don't speak for all GOPers. As I hope you don't speak for all Dems.

You put another GOP in the primaries and I will look at what his number one priorities are and policies. I told you, the "guy" doesn't matter to me in terms of his character; they are all sociopaths.

I respect your viewpoint. But there is a counter argument I would like to offer to you:

In terms of economics, there is very little any President can do during his term in office: the main effects of his economic policies occur a few years later.

I think the above is a true statement, generally speaking, most of the time. Thus, if you enjoyed economic prosperity during the Trump years, that is due mainly to policies that Obama enacted. If you have suffered more during the Biden years, that is due in part to policies that Trump enacted. (Though certainly Trump is not responsible for the pandemic.)

You seem to make the argument that Republican economic policies are,  generally speaking, better for economic prosperity for the public and for you personally than Democratic policies. I’m not convinced at all that this is the case, particularly since Trump was the first Republican president to turn against free trade in favor of tariffs. I believe that decision has had a terrible negative effect.

That's a good counter argument, but I still will never vote Blue again.

They are all sociopaths is a cop out. Trump is by far an outlier in the category.

Let me clarify…the question I posed was intended to mean: why will GOP select Don in the primaries again? You will have a collection of people to choose from but it seems this will be the guy.

I would completely agree with this, but I would rather have Biden continue plodding along as President than Harris ascend to the title...

Biden officially announced that he is running via a video very early this morning...

Joe said "let's finish the job"...  Which means, he isn't finished destroying the country in every way possible that he needs another four years to complete it...

Ugh...  I wish that the Republicans had anyone else other than Trump, but no matter who it is against Biden, they have my vote...

Assuming no COVID-like election shenanigans, if the right can't beat a Biden\Harris re-election bid, we deserve everything we get.

There's nothing Biden can even point to as a success thus far, competing for one of the worst runs as President in history.

As a country, we should be extremely embarrassed that he is even considered re-running, let alone actually doing it.

Oh Biden will win easily. You might have beaten him with a decent Republican. Or even DeSantis, who is awful but at least competent. But you guys are choosing Trump.

DeSantis is not awful even in the worst stretch of the imagination but, Yes, if Trump gets the nom Biden is in again.

It's not going to happen.  DeSantis will be the nominee.

The irony....

Trump will beat DeSantis in the Primary

Biden will beat Trump in the General

DeSantis would have smoked Biden in the General.

Dipshit Republicans......snatching defeat from the jaws of victory once again because they loved to be cucked.

Republicans dudes like the orange ring that Trumps dong leaves on their lips?

It's amazing with this guy and these Republicans.  They'd think Trump was the biggest if he was their boss....but they bend over and spread it for him as POTUS.

2017-2019 were three of the best consecutive years in our nations history. Peace and prosperity ruled the land. Except for the butt hurt liberals and their antifa foot soldiers. They were rooting against America.
