kilroy69 1,215 Posted July 31, 2023 Holy crap man. How is this even possible. So many things have just faded away but the geek club somehow still trudges along? Wow.

easilyscan 857 Posted July 31, 2023 I think it's because the moderators allow members to express their feelings, even when it gets a little edgy. If there's someone that you despise, instead of whining to the moderators, just put them on ignore. That's the way it should be. I've subscribed to the online edition of one of the newspapers in my state for 8 years now. About 2 years ago they changed the comments administrator from Disqus to another whose name escapes me. The censorship started out very subtly. 'deactivating' any post that contained a word like 'thug' & eventually evolved into literally deactivating any post that didn't align with the far left. About a month ago, they completely removed comments. When my subscription ends in September, I won't be renewing. I guess time will tell if it was a smart move on their part.
kilroy69 1,215 Posted July 31, 2023 What I have done in the last few years The boy is 9 now. NINE. I have kept a child alive for 9 years. hahaha. Focking insane. He is so damn smart. Looks just like me. Is the absolute best thing I will ever do in my life. Changed who I was as a person and I can no imagine him not being in my life. We just got back from the UP. I have never seen the hummingbird hawkmoth again despite telling anyone I can about it. I had a good run working at few pretty good recruiting jobs but I am laid off...again. The recruiting industry took a massive hit in the last year but I have interviews coming up tomorrow and had one last week. I banged an honest to god masochist who scared the fock out of me. I have never had anything like it and really did not think people like that existed. It was a wild ride to say the least and ended with her telling me that I did not hit her HARD enough. Fun times. I still swing solo and have a crazy sex life because of it. Online gambling was legalized in Michigan and my dad who worked his entire life to retire developed a problem and lost 60k in less than one year. Mortgaged his house, car and all kinds of . Because he had a system that was going to allow him to win a million bucks. He even called them up and complained to them. They explained he did not understand the rules and he was not a million dollar winner. Gave him some credits he blew along the way too. It was insane. My mother is showing signs of early onset alzheimer's at 68. Though she has herself convinced it is the natural progression of aging. It is not. Her doctors giver her the run around and they do not want to tell her that she is slipping but we can not trust her to have sleep overs with the grandkids anymore because of her forgetful and erratic behavior. I almost died when my Kayak flipped. I did not put on a life vest because it was calm. A crazy wind kicked up and I got rolled. I had on boots and had to kick them off and swim to shore. At one point I was floating down and looking up thinking "well this is how it is gonna end? fock me. I would not have guessed that one" I pulled out of it and swam for shore. Only to find I had to drag myself across 1000 yards of a reedbed in order to get to actual land. With no shirt on and no shoes on. I started carrying a front pocket wallet and wearing slip on shoes like an old man. My son just started really paying attention to the Lions last year and he is under the impression that last year was normal. I want him to believe in them but I also have 50 years of proof was to why we don't I took the boy to Legoland Fla last year and it was a focking amazing trip. A core memory for ever with him. I plan on going back this year. I am Pre-diabetic from a lifetime of eating like crap and I am likely going to go on one of the weight loss pills that will be coming out soon. I am 5ft 9 180 and the docs want me to be 150. I tell my kid all the time. Had I known I was going to live this focking long I would have treated my body better. easilyscan 857 Posted July 31, 2023 The problems your father ran into are only going to become more frequent as online gambling is approved in more and more states. If I ever wanted to start betting on sports again, I'd do it the old-fashioned way, through a bookie. Sorry to hear about your mother. As for the lions, they ain't got nothing on the Vikings, pretty sure this will be their 62nd year of not finding the promised land.

Also always appreciated your uncanny ability to find crazy chicks to fock, glad that hasn't changed either.
