Several businesses, schools, hospitals have reinstated mask requirements

In a Saturday interview, former White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci spoke out in defense of masking up amid today's rising COVID cases.

In the event that masks are again recommended, he is "concerned that people will not abide by recommendations," he said in the interview. 

"I would hope that if we get to the point that the volume of cases is such and organizations like the CDC recommends – CDC does not mandate anything – recommends that people wear masks, I would hope that people abide by that recommendation and take into account the risks to themselves and their families," Fauci told CNN.

Fauci, who also served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health until December 2022, also called into question a January 2023 Cochrane study that found masking to be ineffective.

I don't think you realize how much Fauci and the CDC are asking us to sacrifice if we were asked to wear masks in public places again! I don't know if I can go through that burden again!!!

I really don’t understand your assessment. Fauci is certainly egotistical and a bit of a self-promoter, and also not perfect (no scientist is). But what has he done except try to save lives? There’s no evidence of any corruption or awful behavior such as you’re implying here. I have never understood the demonization of this very fine man (IMO). Please explain what makes him a POS and worse than Trump in your view?

When you meet him, and there are no cameras around to play to.....he is a vlie human, the way he treats other people, including peers, is just despicable.   But, to be fair Collins was even worse, and Dr Black and Faucci were more or less on the same level.  This is NOT a good person, I can attest to this directly.

You can also point to a study that says ivermectin cures covid, doesn't make it true.

In totality, masking provides little value.  But if people want to mask up, go ahead, just stop with the mandates because they provide little to no value.

And they forget pelosi's march to chinatown in San Fran which only helped to spread the chinese flu in mass and that she later then put mask mandates in place and then got busted going against her own rules and then drove the salon owner out of business by condemning her in the national spotlight.
