War in Israel

Recommended Posts

Great.  Now Tim has imaginary Muslim friends talking to him in his head.

The only reason there is a ground strike is to be as strategic as possible.  If they were indiscriminate they wouldn't need a ground strike, just a cleanup crew.

But MSM showed a bomb landing on women and children!!!11!

Remember Hillary Clinton saying this:

"Remember, Israel left Gaza. They took out all the Israelis. They turned the keys over to the Palestinian people and what happened? "Hamas took over Gaza, so instead of having a thriving economy with the kind of opportunities that the children of the Palestinians deserve, we have a terrorist haven that is getting more and more rockets shipped in from Iran and elsewhere”

Even Hillary knew that obviously Palestinians can't govern themselves. They need the extremists in charge. They need the Israeli boogeyman. They want terrorists in charge in order to kill Israelis. Unfortunately I feel very little empathy for the plight of the Palestinians.

Oh well that makes perfect sense.  The FBG rejects are here because they got their Israel War thread over there locked.

This is well said. Interestingly, you and many others seem to align yourselves with those that would happily chase the people Ms. Weiss is referring to directly out of your own country if given the opportunity.

It's pretty incredible how badly those dipshlts missed her point. Also, not really.

You have idiots at prestigious colleges protesting Israel in support of Hamas. We all know what Hamas would do to those delusional kids.

It’s right near the top and, for a newspaper, I’d say it’s a pretty full apology.

Certainly doesn’t undo the damage from the initial false reporting, but I thought it was interesting.

Of course you guys won’t be satisfied regardless. It’s aimed more at centrists, who probably figure it’s good that they’ve acknowledged the error, hope they’ll take something from it, but realize that can’t unwind that clock and they definitely did fock up.

I hope, as do you, they will learn from their mistakes.  My perception is that they do not.  It makes them cautious for a time, but living in their echo chamber they soon forget that caution.  That is called human nature, I suppose, and if it is I am equally subject to that failing.

"They" are here because they can only exist in a place where they won't be permanently banned. That's the thing, the worst bad faith actors from the "other place" would be banned for good at nearly every other established community on the internet.

Here's the litmus test - Imagine deleting all that person's posts, plus all the posts of their aliases, then ask yourself what would be lost.

I have no quarrel with traditional liberals. But you'll find that category of "No Great Loss" would be filled 95 percent full of the activist radical leftist idiots here.

Yeah that’s probably fair. Back in the day they would’ve suffered for lack of journalistic standards but those have slipped badly. These days it’s all about being first and then it’s nice if you’re accurate too

There are ways to eradicate Hamas without killing so many innocent people. That is the flaw in your argument. Israel isn’t doing “what it must”. It has choices. And in fact by killing innocents it is only helping Hamas.

Your opinion means nothing. Israel is going to destroy them and there's nothing you can do about it except post your annoying pro-palestinian slanted opinion.

Quote

”As a Democrat who has been left homeless, who is now definitely in the center but probably leaning increasingly right, I am left yet again with an appreciation, despite the messenger, of the message of the Trump administration because what those guys did was pretty incredible in hindsight.”

“So much of the work that happened in that [Trump] administration turns out to have been right. And that’s what is so frustrating for me. The work on the border wall? We didn’t like the messenger, so we killed the message. Turned out it was right. Issuing long-term debt to refinance when rates were at zero? We didn’t like the messenger, so we killed the message. A structural peace in the Middle East? We didn’t like the messenger, so we killed the message.”

“When are we gonna stop shooting ourselves in the foot? And when are we going to actually see and take the time to look past who is saying things and actually listen to them word for word?”

“If it’s clear that the last two weeks have been a wake-up call, the next question is: Why?”

“Part of the answer is the sheer depravity of Hamas’s terrorism. That depravity has made the justification and celebration of their acts by those who police pronouns that much starker. The contradictions and moral bankruptcy of a worldview that spends years worrying about microaggressions and tone policing, but can’t decide what side it is on after the beheading of babies, aren’t exactly difficult to spot.”

“To put it another way: when Black Lives Matter organizations are lionizing Islamist terrorists by posting a paraglider logo, you’d be a fool not to reassess things.”

“The events of the last week have shattered the illusion that wokeness is about protecting victims and standing up for persecuted minorities. This ideology is and has always been about the one thing many of us have told you it is about for years: power."

“And after the last two weeks, there can be no doubt about how these people will use any power they seize: they will seek to destroy, in any way they can, those who disagree.”

That chick ain't homeless.

But also make some good points about the micro-aggression crowd and this being about power more than anything.  And there is a never ending line of suckers lining up to buy into it.

When she said "homeless" she meant within the democratic party. I shouldn’t have to explain that to you.

I knew someone would think you thought she was saying she was actually homeless. Most everyone knows you meant she has a home if she wants one. Good post.

I'm homeless now.

So anyway, guys, Hamas is bad, and people who support Hamas's supporters are probably suspect.

It's forced, but I guess she has some quote, "I am used to being politically homeless, which I think is a very, very Jewish position."  I guess calling herself homeless is her brand.

I wasn’t aware of that angle. Just that she’s been shunned by the left since she quit the NYT and her work on the Twitter files.

Hey Iran, don't fock with Israel

https://www.timesofisrael.com/barkat-well-wipe-irans-leaders-off-the-face-of-the-earth-if-they-expand-conflict/

“The plan of Iran is to attack Israel on all fronts. If we find they intend to target Israel, we will not just retaliate to those fronts, but we will go to the head of the snake, which is Iran,” Barkat said.

“The ayatollahs in Iran are not going to sleep at night, we are going to make sure they pay a heavy price if, God forbid, they open the northern front,” he said.

“Lebanon and Hezbollah are going to pay a heavy price, similar to what Hamas is going to pay. But that’s not enough,” Barkat said, warning against further escalation.

“The very clear message is that we are going to be going after the heads of Iran as well. When will we do that? When we decide,” Barkat said. “Israel has a very clear message to our enemies. We are saying to them, look what’s happening in Gaza – you are going to get the same treatment if you attack us. We are going to wipe you off the face of the earth.”
