Going to the World Series tonight!

I've never been live to a championship event, so we decided to splurge on tickets for us and our kids (who are hooge sports fans as well).  Heading downtown early, we've got a reservation at a bar/restaurant with an outdoor patio, we'll drink and eat and take in the vibe.  Suns game is downtown tonight as well, and Halloween night, should be crazy there.

Hi all, thanks for the comments!  It was of course something of a bummer, to go down so much so early, but it was still a great day and experience, and I'm glad my kids got to be there.  

Hopefully Gallen can outduel Eovalde tonight again and send it back to Texas.

It worked out for us, but I was raging mad as hell early on. 
 

Jung leads off with a double, no outs - instead of bunting him over Lowe (lefty on lefty) swings for the fences and strikes out. I was going bonkers. The next guy up hit a deep grounder to 2nd, that would surely scored him. We got bailed out by a passed ball.

The cheapest seats for World Series games at Texas were like $800 for standing room only.

Well, a few things.  One, those were SRO, and are no longer showing.  Two, that doesn't include fees, which is about 50% on top of that.  Around $250 is the cheapest for nosebleeds, $350 with fees.  Three, everyone is excited for games 1 and 2; I doubt the notoriously rabid Ranger fans would be shelling our $800 for SRO if they were down 3-1.

I've already gone to two NLCS and now the WS, I'll enjoy this one tonight from home.

Wow, no hit them through six innings and still lost.  Runners in scoring position each of the first five innings and no runs, that's the killer.  Great job by Gallen, and great job by Eovalde to prevent the runs.

Congrats to the Rangers, and I'm super proud of our young, lower-salaried team.
