Tyson vs Paul

Recommended Posts

Beat up a guy 31 years older than you, you lose. Get beat up by a guy 31 years older than you, you lose. Another clownshow where both get paid not to try and beat up the other guy. Booooooooring

He's gonna beat Tyson's asss. Tyson doesn't have the cardio to go toe to toe with the Kid.

I love Tyson but he's about to be humiliated.

These fights are pretty much staged and most gambling sites don't let you bet on them. That says enough for me and wouldn't worry to much about Tyson getting a beat down.

Tyson was always a student of boxing.  If he objectively believes he can take him, he can.  Tyson looks like he has a lot of power in those legs.  My money will be on Tyson.

He probably also thought that the ref wouldn't allow Holyfield to get away head-butting in both fights.

* I doubt at that stage of his career Tyson would have beat Holyfield anyway, but those headbutts were ridiculous.

Not a fan of old legends coming back to look terrible vs inferior opponents.  We all know the down and distance but it just doesn't sit well.  Its a blemish.

Wasn't he just in a car wreck?

:banana::banana: days away. I say IMT knocks him out in the 3rd.

I would doubt that.

A. Is it a real fight?

B. Lets say its a real fight.  Mike is 58 years old.  And while he may stand there and unload on a stationary bag for a few minutes, I doubt he has stayed that much in shape.  Yeah I am sure he can still hit if given the chance.  But Paul isnt going to stand there.  Paul could probably move around for 3 rounds and by then Mike is out of gas.

2 minute rounds helps.  I see a decision win for Paul.  It will probably be lackluster.  By the time they circle twice the round is almost over.  Paul will carry him to a lopsided decision.

Id love to see Mike flatten him.  But I just highly doubt that happens.

At mgm they say this may be the most bet on boxing fight of all time.

They currently have 8% of thr tickets on Paul.

You can do the math.

So they don’t think Paul can pay Tyson enough to take a dive?

Paul is -200 or around on most books.  Which can also be a reason because everyone wants to bet the dog in boxing.

However, despite several six-figure wagers on Paul, Avello noted that nearly 70% of the money is on Tyson for numerous reasons - Tyson fandom plus Paul hatred being one of them.

It is on track to be the most wagered-on fight of the year. One popular bet people are taking is Tyson, with his power, to win in the first round at 22-1.

"That has taken a large amount of money," Avello said. "The liability can build up rather quickly."

Any odds on whether Tyson might "have a snack" during the fight?

Can’t be any more of a blemish than biting a guy’s ear off unless he dies or something

Probably not.   But for fans it is.  In any sport.  Some of these all timers are coming back in boxing for a payday (cant blame them really) and are just a joke.

It will keep happening as long as people keep buying the PPV.

George Foreman did it and was very successful at it.

Yeah, but his comeback started at 38 and he won the championship at 45.  It wasn't like he was having his first professional comeback fight at 58.
