Equity literally means people aren’t being treated equally.  JFC.

Its fairness and fair outcomes.  There is nothing racist about it.

Theres no gotcha.  You’ve plainly shown several times that you know that the word equity exists, but stupidly think it means fair treatment.

It's fair treatment and fair outcomes. I just said that.

No there is a difference between equality and equity.

Equality is giving everyone access to a workplace, equity would be a ramp for people in wheelchairs.

Equality would be offering a job for all applicants, equity would be a mentor program for disadvantaged people to help them apply and get those jobs.

So DEI is providing mentoring to people to be able to apply properly for jobs?  So the equal outcome is just being able to apply for a job? That’s it?  Man, these MAGAturds blow everything out of proportion.

Equality is giving the job to the best resume.

Equity is throwing the resumes in the toilet and giving the job to the intersectional Olympic hierarchy champion.

Come on man.  What’s with the personal attack?  I thought you were above that.  Anyway, so what’s an equal outcome if it’s not just during the application process?

Oh damn, your DEI fireworks fizzle out early? I think I was learning something.  Please continue. If DEI isn’t just in the application process, what equal outcome would constitute proper application of DEI?

Not necessarily.  Just want to be able to have a discussion from a point of common understanding.  Can't believe it took 4 hours to get there but whatever.  You said earlier that DEI was about giving everyone a FAIR chance.   But then why wouldn't the E stand for equality?  There's a reason the social justice people have pivoted from using words like "equality" to "equity."   I'm sure we'll disagree on that but I'm telling you that is why people who lean further right than you take issue with DEI.

Conservatives and liberals are never going to agree on DEI and affirmative action programs. We simply have different core philosophies regarding this issue. Which is OK.

What is NOT okay is the assumption, made all too often by conservatives, that anyone of color who benefited from DEI or affirmative action must automatically be incompetent and underserving of the position he or she is in. Thats where it gets ugly.

DEI exists because your ilk assumes minorities are incompetent and not qualified on their merits.

That's the problem with DEI, and affirmative action before it.  it's not unreasonable to assume a person hired because of those programs is not the best person for the job.  It doesn't mean they're incompetent but if they were the best person for the job they wouldn't have had to use a program like AA or DEI to get the job.  In the case of Kameltoe, we know for a fact she isn't the best person for the job.  She couldn't even sniff winning her own state and had to drop out of the race for President, and we know Biden chose her for every reason EXCEPT competence.

Oh, and Joe Biden is proud to be the first black woman to serve with a black President:

So you don't like having a wheelchair ramp for someone who needs it?  Too disproportionate for you?

Just another example of liberal manipulation of language. You can still find references to “fair” being “equal”, but theyre dwindling. Now “fair” means the treatment you get based on your placement in the hierarchy of grievances.

You’re still hung up on wheelchair ramps? ADA is reasonable accommodation based on disability, DEI is primarily based on race and culture. Are you saying non white people are disabled?  Please tell me you have something more?

When did I say that?  Helping physically disabled people to access things is a good thing.  I was merely correcting your erroneous statement.

And to reinforce my point, a wheelchair ramp is disproportionate treatment to create an equal outcome.

Are you saying that minorities and rainbow people are disabled?

Saw that earlier.  It should be required reading by anyone who thinks this is a new, sudden change.  It goes back to the 2020 campaign and clear signs of decline even then, which many of us discussed at the time.

Quote

What I saw for myself confirmed something was amiss. I spent much of the spring, summer, and fall of 2020 on the primary campaign trail with Biden. In the period before he was granted Secret Service protection, his events, which were usually of modest size, were more freewheeling affairs, and reporters inched up to the candidate as he interacted with voters at the rope line. He rarely took questions. A teetotaler, he was not the kind of candidate who hung out at the hotel bar after the campaigning day was through (on occasion, Jill Biden would enjoy a glass of Pinot Noir in a Marriott lobby with her aides), but he was visible and closely observable.

A campaign trail is a grueling exercise for anybody of any age, from the youngest network embeds to the oldest would-be presidents, and back then, there were days when Biden appeared sharper than on others. I knew it was a good day when he saw me and winked. On such occasions, he joked and prayed and cried with voters. He stayed to take a photo with every supporter. He might even entertain a question or two from the press. He had color in his face. There was no question he was alive and present. On bad days, which were unpredictable but reliably occurred during a challenging news cycle, he was less animated. He stared off. He did not make eye contact. He would trip over his words, even if they were programmed in a teleprompter. On such occasions, he was hurried out of the venue quickly and ushered into a waiting SUV.

Fair and equal are not the same thing. Those two words don’t even belong next to each other. They are almost opposite.

If she DID run a lemonade stand, would she declare bankruptcy?

I'd have liked to see her try on The Apprentice. Trump would have fired her after the first episode.

She's the worst VP in history. She did nothing about the southern border, and when she went to Europe she was completely incompetent/worthless. She couldn't even put together a meaningful sentence.

I love it.....the "lets trot out a bunch of people" tactic....you are a true liberal sir....

MY posting....however....was of active surprise that he was able to be coherent.....because I understand that he is absolutely in serious decline.

Now...I could have lied....pretended that I did not see him do well.....made up something....and said what we all saw was not true.....

But then........and this is important....I would be a focking liar like a liberal.....so no thanks....
