Terrell Davis air terrorist

Recommended Posts

Obviously I don't know TD myself but his reputation in Denver is impeccable.  I've never heard of him being rash or having an explosive temper or anything.  I lean towards his side of the events and hope he sues the sh*t out of United.

"During the beverage service, my son politely requested a cup of ice. The flight attendant either didn't hear or ignored his request and continued past our row. I calmly reached behind me and lightly tapped his arm to get his attention to again ask for a cup of ice for my son," Davis wrote in the social media post.

Davis says right after he tapped the flight attendant on the arm, the man shouted "Don't hit me" and moved to another part of the plane.

This tells me the flight attendant is probably one of the alphabet people.

I was with Terrell until this.

Davis said that it was a traumatizing experience for his wife and children that, "cannot be undone."

You're a grown ass man who has done incredibly well in life, saying you were traumatized is over the top.

Accept the apology and move on.

PS: The flight attendant should be fired.

According to TD, he lightly tapped the man's arm. When the flight attendant replied "please don't hit me" it suggested that he has far more estrogen than testosterone in his body. But who knows, maybe he's gay and racist.

To be fair, he said it was "traumatizing for his wife and kids."

Still a bit of a stretch, I'm sure, but he didn't say HE was traumatized.

I watched a flight attendant lose it after she told a guy to put away tablet/laptop he was using as a calculator.  Keep in mind the plane was still boarding and he said "I'm pretty sure my calculator isn't going to take down the plane". Flight attendant loses it, has the captain remove the guy---guy with family is incredulous-police are called. He's escorted off and family comes with him.  And yes, his little kids were seemed traumatized at the time.

I wrote the airline a letter blasting their thin-skinned crew members and let them know I wouldn't ever fly with them again and I haven't.  They are still in business though, so my strike hasn't broken them............ yet.

I stand corrected, thanks for pointing that out. With that in mind, I still think the word is used far too often in today's society. A few years ago, in a neighboring state, they had an extra deer hunting season because of overpopulation. One of the stipulations was that any deer that were taken, couldn't be strapped to the hood or the roof of an automobile, as this could traumatize children and adults alike.

That example you gave reminds me of zero tolerance. Remember a case where a girl who was a senior in high school & on the honor roll, was expelled because they found a Tylenol in her backpack. She occasionally suffered from migraines, but because of the schools zero tolerance policy for drugs, she was expelled. Thankfully, the family fought it and eventually she was allowed back.

I recently got a hate speech warning on YouTube. Showed a group of about 15 Latino women fighting in a restaurant next to a bar shortly after closing time.

My comment was simply Latino's = too friggin macho. That's actually a line from the movie internal affairs with Richard Gere and Andy Garcia. But thanks to zero tolerance, it was hate speech. Ridiculous in my opinion & those that are all for that type of censorship, should be careful what they wish for.

You should say exactly that very loudly next time you are flying, then report back.

Being uncomfortable is not the same as being traumatized. People need to learn the difference.

When my daughter was 15 and taking driver education, there was a misunderstanding about her learner’s permit.

The instructor explained it to me.  I acknowledged my understanding of it.  He immediately explained it again.  I again acknowledged my understanding of it.  He immediately explained it a 3rd time with exactly the same wording.  Me:  “Yes, I get it.”  Him:  “ You don’t have to get all aggressive!”  Me:  “Phag.”

Well to play devil’s advocate, is the embarrassment of being handcuffed on a plane but then quickly being cleared of any wrongdoing be worthy of a presumably seven figure lawsuit, particularly for someone that I assume is already wealthy?

IMO a fair response from both sides would be he gets free flights for life or something.

Its not but fock em.

The guy...supposedly a guy....could have flipped out ran and told the head of the plane but then come to his senses, man up and say "no I overreacted we dont need the police to get involved".

Instead he ran and told on him like a kid.  Made it up.  And kept the game up until the focking FBI had to say "you know what this is stupid".

Thats not a respectable person.  In fact those people are some of the worst.

People have sued for less.

United Airlines apologizes to Terrell Davis, removes flight attendant after incident

United Airlines has apologized to Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis after an incident that led him to be handcuffed and removed from a flight.

Davis said that when he tapped a flight attendant’s arm to get his attention, the flight attendant accused Davis of hitting him, and that when the plane landed law enforcement got on board, handcuffed him and removed him because of the flight attendant’s accusation. Now United has released a statement acknowledging that Davis was mistreated.

“This is clearly not the kind of travel experience we strive to provide, and we have reached out to Mr. Davis’s team to apologize,” United said in a statement. “We have removed the flight attendant from duty while we closely review this matter.”

Davis wrote on social media that he was flying on Saturday with his wife and three children when his son asked a flight attendant for ice. When the flight attendant did not respond, Davis says he lightly tapped the attendant’s arm to get his attention, and that the attendant shouted, “Don’t hit me” in response. Davis says he was confused by the reaction but thought it was over until the flight landed, when the pilot asked all passengers to remain seated while six law enforcement agents boarded the plane, handcuffed Davis and removed him.

Davis says that once he explained to law enforcement what happened, they determined “that this flight attendant was inaccurate in his accusations” and apologized to him and let him go. Davis says his lawyers will be in touch with United.

I dunno, it’s hard for flight attendants with all the loonies out there right now. So I don’t too much blame him for the initial overreaction. But getting the cops and having Davis arrested was obviously way too far assuming Davis’s version of the events is accurate (and seems like it probably is). I think Davis should try to be the bigger man here but I do understand his anger

This is what the Democrats' biggest achievement has been to this country... The Victim Olympics.  Who's the bigger victim, the black man or the gay flight attendant?

Another gift is Cancel Culture.  Anyone who's seen as the aggressor against the higher protected class in the Victim Olympics, needs to be fired.  We need to stop acting like whiney garbage can Leftists and act like normal everyday conservatives.

The flight attendant was having a bad day and overreacted... it happens.   He doesn't need to be fired or take some sensitivity class.  Terrell Davis did nothing wrong upfront but probably felt he was going to lose in the Victim Olympics, so he had to bring in his trump cards, wife and kids.  He needs to tell them "He's having a bad day, it's nothing personal, let it go."  No one needs to make a big deal out of this.

Social media forces people to take sides and thanks to the Democrats and their wonderful Identity Politics agenda, there needs to be a victim and there needs to be a bad guy and there has to be outrage.  Oh, and now someone is going to have to be sued. 🙄

Pretty sure I wasn't the first, just clarifying the problem.  Once someone brings up racism (I believe it was you), we now have a political thread.

1) I believe you meant to say how @easilyscan brought up the flight attendant being an “alphabet person” (which we don’t even know).

2) I said nothing about politics

Of course you can call out racism when you see it.  It's just your fault that your meter changes on what is and isn't racism, based on who's saying it.  You tend to give a conservative an inch and a liberal a mile.  Honestly, I'm fine with that... it's what your kind does and I'm used to it.  It's all good.

This is a lie.  For one there are less liberals here, so it’s partly a numbers game.  There are also several posters here that are pretty open with their racism ( @Cdub100  and @iam90sbaby come to mind so it is more commonly coming from them).  But as I said I have called libs out for racism as well.

Two, I don’t have a “kind”

Three, lol at you projecting onto others exactly what you do.

That's pretty rich coming from the side that has segregated events. I also call it like I see it. You just don't like I point out what's not allowed to be pointed out.
