Caleb Williams is the real deal.

Recommended Posts

I've been preaching his name. He's better outside of the pocket than anyone not named Mahomes. And that's what you've seen this weekend.

He's going to impress immediately

He's more dedicated to being high quality than I ever thought. The guy is smart, he's practices smart, and his arm talent is amazing. It only helps that he's been practicing against what could be a top defense in the league this year. They have not been taking it easy on him in practice. More goid QBs in the league Stroud, Love, hopefully Williams, Daniels, and Richardson only make the NFL much more fun to watch. Everthing I've heard out of NE is that Maye looks really bad. Kinda sucks.

No. Never was able to read defenses. And he was never remotely as accurate as williams has proven to be already. Plus Williams can get the ball out quickly. Fields had a long arm motion. And Williams already showed that he can slide and not take hits. In his 3rd year Fields was still sitting up straight when he slid and got pummeled because of it.

Hope so, took him 3rd overall in a rookie draft. :bench:

In my rookie draft Williams went first and Harrison second. We have a superflex league. I ended up with Daniels. I had two picks in the second and got Trey Benson and Penix. And later in 3rd and 4th I got Troy Franklin and that Vidal RB.

Pretty happy about that draft.

Down the road.at QB I'll have Watson, Richardson, Daniels, and Penix. Total rebuild mode.

Jayden Daniels is the rookie QB to have.

Williams likes to dress up in women's dresses and is probably a drag queen, maybe even a tranny.  Da' Bears still suck!

A man of principle. I on the other hand would field Pol Pot/Stalin/Idi Amin if it would get me a few extra VVins

Al Davis was right , just win baby

Lions went 4-0 during preseason before their 0-16 season.

Put no stock in preseason.  Zip  zero.

Well, Rex Grossman did win as many conference championships as Aaron Rodgers. :dunno:

Hey, we should let them have this one, it's not everyday that a Bears QB completes 4 passes and none of them went to the other team!

I didnt want to be the guy who said preseason.  He made a couple nice passes.  The bar is low.  Wont be worse than Fields.

Aaron Rodgers has an all-time 23-5record against the Chicago Bears.

One game behind Aaron Rodgers in NFL lore.

No Bears' QBs in the past have been worth ranking. against each other. No Bears fan will say that team had quality QBs.

But this thread is about Caleb Williams. And those who have been following the Bears practices and Williams' maturation on the field in this short time are impressed. I supported Fields but he couldn't be evaluated properly because they were in full on rebuild. The Bears gutted that team to the bone when Fields was put to the test. I don't think he's sharp enough to read defenses, but EVERYONE that follows the NFL knows he was given a raw deal. So I wish the guy the best.

But, if Williams learns to read NFL defenses, he absolutely has all the tools to be great. The Bears need two more things, they need to stabilize their middle of the road interior OL, and another edge rusher. And that's about it. Williams has everything that Fields didn't have in both skill set, and team around him.

I was worried that Williams was going to be drama queen, but he has proven to be the exact opposite. But he's a rookie, so who knows. :dunno:

No one cares about the scores of preseason games. They look at individual performances.

You haven't seen or followed the practices. You are basing all this on this one preseason game. And in that game he made 6 out of 7 "nice" throws. Two of them were flat out drops by Moore and Kmet. One of them he threw away. It was mentioned by the commentators in that game that with the other QBs the wind was blowing their passes all over the place. But Williams was zipping it in there 20+ yards down field, from both in and out of the pocket.

It was a nice showing. But no one will know until the season starts how much he struggles or not. He will struggle like most rookies do.

Rex Grossman was a 22nd pic in the draft Aaron Rodgers with the 24th

Makes sense. Comparable success in the league except Rodgers did win his one superbowl appearance where Grossman lost his to Peyton Manning.

No one cares about that either. Hes playing a basic offense against basic third string defenders.  Probably less quality than his college days
