wait, you told me that Biden wasn't encouraging it

and how is it the US thats responsible for spending on all 3rd world sh1tholes?

Never said that, Biden clearly encouraged migration.

Also people that are well off should help the less fortunate.  That's just being a good human.  Jesus taught us that.

Why do you think anyone is entitled to anything I have?  Socialism is bad. Mao taught us that

Where did anyone say there is no fentanyl in the US anymore?  Stop acting like a child.

Implied in the following comment:

fentanyl supply in the US is drying up

You're the one who acts like a child, every day.

"Drying up" does not imply "non-existent"

Anyone who draws that conclusion isn't good with the English language.

I don't think anyone is entitled to what you have.  I think we all have an obligation to help others.  You don't want to, that's fine, we have lots of people like you.  Hopefully more good people.

A while back I heard a wonderful interview with Javier Milei, the (libertarian) president of Argentina.  He has done things like remove rent control, which while it causes initial higher prices, has led to a much more vibrant and affordable (e.g., competitive) rental market.

When confronted about removing welfare/entitlements and the impact on the poor single mothers, he responded that there is a false dichotomy that presumed that their system could take everyone out of poverty.  It couldn't, and it was destroying their economy to try to do so.

While it is noble for individuals, and charitable groups, to help out people in need, the vector we were on -- let in anyone who wanted to come in and glom onto the system, as long as they knew the magic "asylum" words -- was unsustainable for our economy.

There is a middle ground.  Obviously we can't help everyone but we should try and help who we can.  Something about perfect enemy good words.

Rich people help others many multiple times more than average people even if all we do is pay taxes. You should probably just stay in your lane Mr. Want to Feel Good.

Agreed, that was some really simplified & silly math. Costs of shipping, labor and overhead don't change, not to mention that you just don't 2X wholesale to get retail.  That was a weak part of the presentation but there was still enough good info in the video that I thought it was worth sharing.

Is it okay for other countries to put tariffs on goods from the USA?  If they do does it help or hurt the economy in that country?

After that the one lawyer spends a lot of time looking at the various laws on tariffs. What role Congress plays, what laws the President could use to raise tariffs on his own and what/if any grey areas there might be.  Also there is some time spent on tariffs, trade wars and specifically the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act from the great depression.  They are clearly biased from a left-wing perspective, but it's pretty-much very fact-based with speculation about the possible effects.

I started watching his channel, because I've always been fascinated with the legal process in the US and the channel covers a lot of topical, complicated legal issues of the day in an easy to digest way. If you have 20-25 minutes to spare every two weeks, it's worth a subscribe.
