Yeah, some real benevolent naval contemplation up in this hizzah right now over this topic.

Yeah, some real benevolent naval contemplation up in this hizzah right now over this topic. Clearly you aren't capable of thoughtful, respectful discussion. Even have a couple songs on my playlists. As for this, I don't really care. It won't be as good as the original. Casting a woman doesn't bother me, it's not like it's meant to be a realistic characterization of Jesus. Good luck doing better than this performance. Because they’re 3 years apart and very different. The original album is great, the movie is mediocre at best. Theres a very reasonable chance this new version is better than the movie which was just not that great.

The movie isn't great as far as movies go. But the soundtrack is absolutely fantastic. The lyrics are wonderful. It stays pretty true to the story etc etc. As far as the album....Yah that's a no go for me. I listened to it I think once. There are two songs missing on that album from the movie. And since I like every song, this disappointed me. So I own the DVD, and I have the soundtrack album.

She loves the 10th anniversary version because she loves that Javert. I don't like it because I don't like that Javert. supermike80 1,959 Posted August 8 Here's the thing too. Of course we all know Judas was played by Carl Anderson. A black man. Didn't bother me a bit cause he sang some of the best tunes on that album.
jerryskids 6,890 Posted August 8 While I realize that the Left likes to subvert religion with casting like Erivo and uber ghey Adam Lambert as Judas, I am glad at least that they didn't make the character of Jesus a female (she refers to herself as "son" in that song). And hey, who knows, maybe some blue haired Gen Z'er will watch this and think hey, this Jesus guy was pretty cool. I should learn more.

Grace Under Pressure 125 Posted Friday at 06:38 PM She played Elphaba in the movie Wicked, opposite Ariana Grande. Both of them were sickly looking emaciated skeletons. Hard pass. The musical Wicked on Broadway, on the other hand, was tremendous. Highly entertaining. A lot of people can sing. Not seeing the appeal here.
