The I hate or I love the Dallas Cowboys thread

Where's the "eh, they're OK, I guess" option?

Really, for most of my life the Lions use to always beat the Cowboys. Then Matt Millen happened. But before that, there was never any reason to get worked up over a team that never got in the Lions' way.

I guess no one but me had a match up against them in FF or started a Colt.

Hi sweetheart.

My answer to your question is "yes".

I have followed them forever. During that time, you get a chance to experience a full range of emotions.

They've been so irrelevant for so long that it's hard to have much of an opinion either way. .500 team over the last 20 years. Eagles division foe so I guess I'm supposed to hate them.

I loathe Jerry Jones, but for the most part I like the players.

I have a sort of weird crush on Tony Romo and I want him to win. He seems like a nice fella, that's had a really awful time winning when it matters. I even wanted him to win that celebrity golf tournament, when he played in it, he choked there too :(

It will be GREAT for the NFL to have the cowboys play well in the playoffs and win at least 1 playoff game.

I don't really hate the Dallas Cowboys. I'm just irritated that 4 of my FF teams were in their "Super Bowl" and basically due to Tony Romo playing so well and the Colts playing the suck, I won't win now. Unless of course Peyton Manning and CJ Anderson manage to out score Romo + ODB.

In a strange twist of events, the top two seeds and favorites for the Super Bowl (N.E. and Sea) just happen to be the two teams I dislike the most. So that means, I will become a temporary Cowboys fan at some point. And Broncos fan. And Packers fan....

Never had a miserable day in my life, Mr Ride-the-bus, no cell phone, no woman. :music_guitarred:

Fock, I'd be angry at the world too.

Just having to ride the bus is enough to make a man postal, throw in being unable to get laid? We're talking killing mom and maybe a bunch of innocent people.

..throw in being fat, ugly, and sickly. Is it any wonder he's so bitter and flies off the handle? I'd have killed myself years ago if I had phillybear's life.

Focking hate them. Not even so much as a reach around after they focked the Vikings in the ass with Hershel Walker.

That could be a monumental task. Right now Seattle and GB are the Wild Card teams - fock.

Hosting a divisional round playoff game, is still great for the NFL. win or lose.

After last night's game, Arizona moved into a wildcard slot while Seattle leads the NFC West.

Oh yea, good point. Thank gosh, nobody wants to run into Seattle right now. GB on the road - you have a chance. And Zona is dead with that qb mess.

Agreed. GB isn't an easy out, but they're beatable. They'll have to keep Rodgers off the field as much as possible.

Does AZ have any options out there for a QB? Tebow? Leftwich? Batch?

Either way, it's exciting to see the Cowboys finally playing well in Dec.

I hate Jerry and think he's a clown. Can't say I really hate the Cowboys, I have a lot of respect for Romo and Witten. I do hate Cowboys "fans" from the Northeast though.

If you're from NY, NJ or PA and root for the Cowboys that means you hate your dad.

everyone is beatable, especially when they are on the road.

Tough luck for green bay, that they choked away home field throughout, now having to play on the road no matter what.

Pretty miserable road team this year, I could see them losing to Carolina

Only 1 good team on the road in the NFL this year. Dallas. Who will be playing at home, but have a free win ve Arizona

I kinda like them.

Used to hate em in the 90s when they were kicking everyone's ass because they could and did spend a kajillion dollars on their roster before the salary cap.

But they've had some hard years since so I don't look at them like they're the Yankees or whatever anymore.

They have a few players I like. I'm somewhat of a fan of Tony Romo for reasons I can't really explain. Maybe because he's sort of a tragic figure at this point so it'd be nice to see him pull out a few big playoff wins. Basically, what edjr said.

I certainly wouldn't root for them against my Pats in the Super Bowl, but I'd probably prefer them over most NFC teams and over at least Denver in the AFC.

Hate is to kind of a word. Watching Cowgirl fans suffer year after year is one of my favorite past times.

I absolutely loathe them. Not a fan of any other NFCE team, but I just remember my dad despising Tom Landry and the Cowboys growing up. I'm not exactly sure why, as we're Detroit Lions fans. But even now, I hate the Cowboys much more than our divisional rivals in Chicago and Green Bay.

Must be a 60s/70s thing. I don't remember ever losing to the Cowboys, Detroit always was Kryptonite to them, including during their glory years of the 90s. It was the Redskins who always beat us. That is until Matt Millen came around, then we started losing to everybody, Dallas included. But 80s, 90s we jacked them up all the time.
