Cmike to Cowboys is what I'm seeing on Twitter

Recommended Posts

I just snagged him in both my leagues. Hopefully he'll catch someone's eye in Dallas.

I've got nausea just thinking about rooting for The Pats and The Cowboys. :shocking:

Drop your kicker or backup quarterback or whatever. This is the type of lottery ticket that wins leagues. Figure out the pertinent details next Sunday morning.

Exactly, not to say he will be the definite starter or anything........... and IF he becomes the starter he may not even lock down a usable percentage of the carries for the 1st half of the year..................... but he could.

The primary point though is that this a very combustible situation. Physically talented runner behind a great OL on a team that is set up overall to score a lot of points and log a lot of yardage. That's a potentially league winning combo off the WW at the cost of a roster slot to see how it pans out.

If you had to pick between Christine Michael and Duke Johnson, whom would you choose ?

I love me a pure lotto ticket like C Mike, especially in that offense, with that line, in that division -

In my one league with open FAs right now, I cut Karlos Williams for him with no hesitation. Michael is now exactly what you want in a flier: crazy talent, great offensive line, weak crew ahead of him.

That said, I wouldn't go crazy. I'd drop guys like all Pats who aren't Blount, but I wouldn't cut David Johnson or Duke Johnson, guys who I think have a clearer path to steady work.

Well put man.

Dropping the kicker is a great move to get that kind of a impact player.

I dropped Zach Zenner. The only other player i was willing to part with was my backup TE Eifert (backing up Graham). We only get 7 waiver moves so its important not to waste too many on picking up guys just for bye week fillers. I will already have to do that with my K and Def if i cant pull off a trade. Having 3 moves taken up if i include my TE is just too many. Man i hope dropping Zenner doesnt blow up in my face.

Extremely interesting. He has done nothing in Seattle, and I mean zero. He still can't pass protect. Dude didn't even get close to pushing Turbin the past two years.

But he has explosive talent and not a lot of competiton. I just picked him up and sat him at the end of my bench with McFadden. After waiting so long for him to do something exciting for my Seahawks I'm sure as fock not going to miss out on him breaking out somewhere else. There are some big games to go around behind Dallas' offensive line. Should be a fun situation to monitor all year.

Staying far away from that mess .

But here's the thing in Dallas. He doesn't need to be on the field on clear passing downs like 3rd and long. If he and Randle split up the duties (hahaha), he is running behind one of the best run-blocking lines in football. He's a wildcard. But he's the type of person that if you're drafting RIGHT NOW, he's going in the 11th round from someone. Go find someone on the waiver wire that has that type of increase in value just from relocation. And if someone says Terrance West....

Definitely worth a speculative add but let's not go crazy here. Dude didn't do sh!t in Seattle and they were sure quick to move on from him. My guess is an attitude and/or work ethic type issue. Maybe a Seattle homer can add some more insight.

I'm thinking the Dallas RB situation is an utter mess and likely to be a committee all year with multiple players alternating big weeks. I laughed when Randle went in the 4th in my league.

Dallas RB situation is still a mess.

Value in that OL did well last year, has a passing game.

Just major Questions as to whether there is any fantasy value to this RBBC situation.

I just don't see any bell cows on the Cowboys this year.

If you look at Linehan over the past he typically does have a bellcow, plus RBs who can catch the ball.

All it takes is Randle fumbling figuratively or maybe literally....this kid gets a shot at 1st & 2nd down. If he looks good he could win the job.

He's dirt cheap with crazy upside. Is he perfect? No. Are you paying a price that suggests he is? Again No.

It's my opinion that once he gets a few carries it will be readily evident that he gives the team far greater big play potential than McFragile or the Underwear Guy.

I dont know. He is a superior athlete, but if he was able to even be a decent backup youd think the Seahawks would have just kept him.

Couldn't it also be the fact that he's entering his 3rd year in his contract and hasn't stepped foot on the field in a large role for the team? They know he won't play this year with Lynch and Fred Jackson there. And Rawls has supposedly impressed enough.

So why not get something for the guy when you can. I don't view this as an indictment against Michael's abilities whatsoever. It's simply getting value for a position that the Seahawks have plenty of riches at.

Maybe. I dont see much value in a conditional 7th round pick for a guy who should be able to step on the field and excel with his athleticism.

Well, not being able to take a job from Marshawn Lynch is nothing to hang your head about. As for Turbin, he just seemed to fit that team better. I believe Seattle runs a power blocking scheme. I just don't have a good take on that situation, his problems in Seattle, though am well aware of the criticisms Michael has drawn from Seattle homers on this forum. I seem to remember the Seahawk coaches, especially Carroll, having positive things to say about the kid.

It's a low risk gamble but, if the light comes on, wow tremendous upside to this situation. Dallas is a place where the best man will play I guarantee you.

NFL teams value 7th rounders more than us fans. I think Seattle got exactly what Michael's value is in the NFL.

As for his future prognosis, I just can't NOT be excited in re-draft to at least take a flier on him, especially if all it takes is dropping my kicker for the next seven days.

McFragile is one tackle away from being on IR. Randle is NOT a 250 carry back. Michael is arguably in the best spot he's ever been in to produce on the field.

I've LOOOOONNG been one of the most anti-Christine Michael people that's ever existed. But there's zero chance of me not buying a potential starting RB behind one of the best O-lines in football.

The best fantasy analogy I can use for this situation is very ironic:

Christine Michael is to fantasy teams right NOW....as La'el Collins was to Dallas in free agency

I'd rank him about here in PPR "flyer" RB's as follows:

Denard Robinson

Christine Michael

Dion Lewis

Josh Robinson

Chris Johnson

I know of Linehan. Just cause he is the OC doesn't mean he has a RB that is a Bell Cow.

Jerry was likely hoping wishing and wanting AP to be his featured back and take the place of Murrary.

What he has now is equal. hopes for, wishes for and wanting of a backfield that will offset Romo. That will calm Romo.W

What Jerry has now is a collection of hopes dream and aspirations. a collection of wishes and wants that he hope will serve and calm romo.

Of this mess he has assembled. Randle still seems to be the most likely candidate to be worthwhile of fantasy consideratin.

I just find this entire situation to be too high risk for an undeterminate reward. The addition of another back doesn't bring any clarify to the situation other than to highlight it is a mess.

All this stated, Hoping to land Randle late in the league as a flyer.

Its an end of the bench stash. There are few teams I have that I don't have someone expendable for upside.

The few exceptions for not making a speculative add are : Short benches, capped roster moves, and add/drop fees

Even then, I'll abandon a kicker till Sunday at 930am
