mmmmm...beer 691 Posted April 20, 2015 Used to hunt pheasant, grouse, partridge, goose, ducks, rabbit, deer, antelope, elk, doves, pretty much anything. Since city living its hard to get out now. Sure... range... home defence, bug out capabilities... all of it. Tools of the trade also.
BiPolarBear 476 Posted April 20, 2015 mmmmm.....beer, I shot a 7.62 SKS and was impressed with the gun. Me: Winchester Model 70 30-06 (2X7 Leupold) O/U Savage .410/.22lr Colt Frontier Scout .22 Marlin 39A .22 Winchester Model 1200 pump 12 gauge. I used to bird hunt with the shotgun and have done a lot of plinking with the .22's. I have taken the '06 deer hunting, but never saw a deer.

tanatastic 2,061 Posted April 20, 2015 No guns. Not having a gun lowers my chances of getting shot by prob 99.99999%. A non trained professional owning a gun prob has a 10% chance of getting shot (made up number), wich is drastically higher.

GobbleDog 816 Posted April 21, 2015 Taurus Judge Mean pistol. My buddy whipped out the judge while we were shooting skeet with shotguns. Dang if he didn't start shooting skeet with that canon. I have a couple of .22 pistols and a 9mm. If the revolution starts, my arsenal ain't gonna cut it. My firearms are entirely for putting holes in paper and making my d*ck feel bigger. They're worthless for home defense since it would take me 20 minutes to find the key, get the ammo, and load up. On the flip side, my 5 y.o. is safe.

Cloaca du jour 2,064 Posted April 21, 2015 I've shot a lot of guns but have no interest in ownership. Shooting clays is a blast. Ak47 is a serious shoulder puncher. Handguns..meh. I have smaller hands and if I had a 45 aimed at you more than thirty feet away...you'd be safe! Lol. Glock is fun and I do better with that. My buddy is the gun fanatic and we go to the range now and then. When he has old ammo to shoot up.
GobbleDog 816 Posted April 21, 2015 Glock is fun and I do better with that. Glocks are fun. Nice easy trigger... compared to the p.o.s. Smith & Wesson 9mm I own. 8lbs of trigger pressure, makes bad aim even worse. I'd be better off throwing a rock.
Giants Fan 85 Posted April 21, 2015 Colt .45., 1911 Model, early model, issued to my step grandfather. It's a big ranch, and we have like a 3 acre perimeter where wild boars and coyotes can't get into, but you still kinda gotta have a gun in case of emergency. We also have a pellet gun. In case we want quail for dinner.
Giants Fan 85 Posted April 21, 2015 My brother, shot himself with a Smith and Wesson. Worked, 1 shot. So, I guess that is a thumbs up for Smith and Wesson?

SUXBNME 1,335 Posted April 21, 2015 I don't own any Two of my neighbors have a BLS type of stockpile, though. Fockers are actually pretty decent from 1000 yards recently (at least from the papers they show me every monday when they come back from the range)
parrot 789 Posted April 21, 2015 Browning Leveraction .22 Marlin semi-auto .22 Remington 870 20 gauge Remington 700 .270 Ruger 77 .338 Win Magnum Winchester 70 Stainless Classic .300 Win Magnum All used for hunting of one type or another. Several haven't been fired in many years. The 20 gauge is my home defense if it were ever to come to that. Owned 5 or 6 handguns over the years but don't have much use for them now. Soooo...what exactly are you going to prevent in your home if you have to unlock a gun in a safe, then trot out to the garage to get the ammo? This mythical shoutout in your home is just silly. First..anyone breaking into your home if they are any good is casing your house and you won't be home. OR they are really good at coming in at night and probably won't hear them, and even if you do unless you have a gun by your bed, loaded, and unlocked....you'll be too late. And those of you that walk around strapped are a whole other level of paranoid.
