I’ve been discussing this with my family and we’re going to get seriously involved. It means more than just contributing money; it means helping to find housing, greeting people at the airport, helping to enroll children in school, etc. Im doing this for two reasons: I’m sick and tired of arguing this issue on the internet. All you guys want to do is complain about these folks; I’m sick of your bigotry. I need to do something. Second is I feel I owe it to my grandparents. They risked their lives trying to come here, fleeing first Nazi Getmany and then the Soviet Union. They faced the same bigotry, the same folks like @jonnyutahback then who wanted to stop them from coming. Good samaritans helped them back then, now it’s up to the rest of us to do my part.
