The US Open is set to begin next Thursday. In response, here's the usual thread to further that discussion. Oakmont is the site of this year's championship and is generally regarded as one of, if not the toughest course these guys will ever play on competitively. Here is my predicted Top Ten with consideration for others noted as well. Should be a great tournament on a very tough course! Top Ten: 1. Shane Lowry- The last time the US Open was played at Oakmont, Lowry dominated for three days. I like how his game fits this particular test. 2. Bryson DeChambeau- Bryson's best shot at winning majors is in this major, no doubt. I think he'll contend once again. 3. Scottie Scheffler- I know I should put him first, but something tells me he won't be this week's winner. Still, his C-game right now is good enough for top-3. 4. Corey Conners- Love the way Conners grinds in majors and other big tournaments. I don't think he'll be a threat on the back nine come Sunday, but will record a sneaky top-5. 5. Jon Rahm- Like Bryson, this is the major he seems most suited to contending and winning year in and year out. Needs to finish well though, unlike the PGA. 6. Xander Schauffele- Game is rounding back into form somewhat in what has been a semi-disappointing year so far. 7. Ben Griffin- Hottest player in the world right now not named Scottie Scheffler. Hard to pick against Griffin right now in terms of putting up at least a top-10 in this tourney. 8. Denny McCarthy- Par saves are critical to stay in contention at a US Open and McCarthy's putting is as consistent as they come. I foresee a solid showing from the vet. 9. Justin Rose- Rose was all over the place at the Memorial, but the majors are where he concentrates all his energy now. I think he'll do well, even if this year's Masters was his last real major shot. 10. Harris English- Quietly, English is becoming a very solid, consistent player at major championships. I see no reason he can't keep that trend going at Oakmont. Obviously, I have left Rory off this list, which is probably foolish, but I just sense that he's in a bit of a funk right now on a personal level and that his game is not going to translate to Oakmont very well at the moment. I could be dead wrong about that. If I could have had an 11 and 12, I would have taken Morikawa and Aberg. I think they'll play well in spurts, but ultimately I think they're both too prone to double bogeys to seriously contend.

Had Biden or Obama attempted this they would have been heralded as brilliant and brave, but the wrong politician did it so those on the left are compelled to oppose it out of fealty to their religion. As I noted, any indication of tariffs being an economic issue would take a rather long time, so of course there is no issue. What we have observed is the legacy media puppeting Democrat dogma for political purposes. The legacy media continues to inflict harm on itself as people see their lies more and more clearly, they are mostly left now with the most dutiful lemmings who dare not flout the party.....as Fetterman is finding out......they will turn on you rather nastily.

https://x.com/SenSchumer/status/1929994333186650240 Chuck Shumer @SenSchumer Erasing Harvey Milk’s name is disgusting, blatant discrimination—and during Pride Month to boot. He served the U.S. Navy and his country honorably, and he was assassinated while serving the public and fighting for LGBTQ+ rights. Hegseth should be ashamed of himself and reverse this immediately.

I'm a moderate conservative who is all for a strong military, states' rights, immigration reform, smaller government, gay marriage, anti-deficit, free speech and free trade. I believe we need tighter gun laws. I'd love a great rail system like they have in Europe. Social Security and Medicaid should be strengthened. There should be a long-term care option for Medicare, and I would be happy to pay a little more in taxes to have it. I'm for fossil fuels (pipelines and all) as our primary energy source for now but also supportive of bringing along alternative energy sources such as wind, wave, solar, geothermal, methane and nuclear. A huge number of the governmental vehicles running around in my neck of the woods run on methane captured from the local dump. I support vaccines, and if you don't want to take one, that's your choice as long as you respect those who do and don't generate anti-vax vitriole and spread misinformation and ridiculous conspiracy theories. The COVID vaccine saved millions of lives, although a small percentage of people (my son included) suffered side effects. The known needs of the many outweighed the unknown adverse health effects of the few. Polio has been eradicated, and measles should have been, too. Vaccines work. I'm all for funding scientific research for cancer, Alzheimer's, etc. I'm moderately pro-choice as far as women's reproductive rights and have no issue with the awareness spotlight this month on the LGBTQ community, although biologically born boys have no business in women's sports. They can have their own category, although there wouldn't be many competitors, I reckon. I support helping Ukraine fend off the evil and suffering that Putin has cast upon it. To not stand with Ukraine only emboldens regimes such as Russia, China, Iran and North Korea. Americans whined about inflation and 401K losses after Russia invaded Ukraine and ignorantly blamed Biden. A Russian takeover would create more of that and cause all kinds of global instability. I support helping the poor, hungry, sick and illiterate in this country and worldwide. America should serve as a humanitarian example to the world, and we lose power and influence if, for example, China moves in to fill the void. While a lot of this is similar to Trump's platform, the things he has done - stupid tariffs, the ransacking of the federal government, attacking free speech, the grossly unqualified nodding heads he put in his cabinet, the economic hardships he's creating (and we'll all feel soon), world chaos, souring relations with allies, humanitarian aid slashed (with food meant to feed millions rotting in warehouses), etc.- mixed with his arrogance, ego, empty promises, defiance of courts, sinful and criminal history, daily lunatic statements (Biden clone? Gimme a fukking break.) and ripping apart our Constitution have made him a lock for our worst president, and it's no longer even close. The only president he could have topped was himself. This country one day at a time is heading toward a dictatorship. This country will reap what it has sewn for putting that dangerous asshat back in office.

They don't get it. I thought Timmy was the worst when it came to being manipulated by the media. I see it is far far more ingrained in people. It's a shame but oh well. This is a very very big reason why Biden almost won. The media played such a role and dimwits like Timmy and Squish ate it up. Thank God the Washington Post is out there to tell us the fentanyl drop at the border is due to unknown factors. It's amazing

Harvey Milk was a pedophile. I guess we’re supposed to skip over that. Was also heavily involved in Jim Jones’ death cult. Swell guy.

Yes! Brennan did a decent cross but it fell way short. This cop has no reason to lie, to go against the others. He was in an àccident from a dui driver. If anything he'd be on that point in back of his mind. Aunti Bev didn't want to rule this case as a mistrial with prejudice as Alessi argued the fact that Brennan can't bring up dna in cross since the defense never brought it up. So here you go. Karma. The case that was set to be defended on the count of poor police investigation now has corruption on it too! It's no wonder all 4 lawyers are working hard all pro bono, 2 from Cali, 1 from NY & 1 from MA. The fund raising being done is n̈ot to pay the defense lawyers...it's to cover the costs of bringing in their witnesses. If she gets convicted, it'll probably be the largest outrage in history I'd imagine. Btw, Peter is one I watch too. It's great to watch him & his dad together do the weekly recaps. Peter also is definitely not hard on the eyes.

The more you ignorant, homophobic, transphobic clowns celebrate this kind of thing, the more it will emboldent the LGTBQ community, and the more LGTBQ you will get, which you secretly want because of your suppressed romantic feelings.

Gotcha. I guess my levity/snark meter was on the fritz. I think the "all" argument is a bit of a stretch, but also depending on your frame of reference. All female athletes can be impacted by males in their sports these days, but all women of childbearing age can be impacted by abortion... but all women of any age can be impacted by males in their safe spaces (bathrooms, locker rooms, etc.). Arguing this point isn't particularly important to me, so I agree, let's carry on.

No it isnt fake news. That's not the point. Liberals literally hated elon. Hated. Now liberals are saying "hey everyone, listen to elon" Why? Cause NOW it agrees with what they think. Its amazing. Especially CNN. I see fox quoting him, because as you said, they polished his knob constantly. But CNN? Please. Does this nean people will start buying teslas again and stop vandalizing the already owned ones?

I don't need to be anything. I'm a fantasy football / sports guy who came to this cesspool when the main bored became trash. At the time, this cesspool was a regular cesspool and not so much of a political cesspool. I don't belong to any political forums or boards, I don't watch MSNBC or FOX News. I certainly don't spend all day every day here posting about Trump or Biden or Trannies, etc.

The best part about all the TDS crowd saying Trump has full blown dementia is that we JUST got done watching a feeble man fumble and bumble his way around, often not knowing where he was or what he was trying to say, literally locking up while speaking as if a reset button needed to be pressed. Trump is a narcistic, petulant child. He says stupid shit all the time. I don't think he even believes half the stuff he says. I think he enjoys being bombastic for effect. He is also an older man so obviously his mental acuity is not going up. But when you watch him or listen to him, never do you get the impression that he doesn't know what day of the week it is. You never get the impression that a team of people had to shoot him up to make him seem lively. I have not personally seen him freeze mid sentence and stare into a camera with a look on his face of an older person in the midst of soiling themselves.
