Mom has the breast cancer

Recommended Posts

36 C. I'm not the praying type for the most part, but occasionally I'll throw out a few in a time of need. I'll be doing all I can and if you guys could squeeze a few in for her, I'd appreciate it. Half of you have said you've been with her anyways, so there might be some obligation on your part.

TIA for a great woman.

Gotta be a shock to hear the "c" word, but:

The good news is, this is really really treatable. My Gramma had it and lived for years and years and years afterward.

...Unfortunately.

Hang in there buddy. Think long term. Mastectomy, new boobies in a bigger and fluffier size.

I mean, not that you'd motorboat your mom or anything...

Good luck.

Mom went through it a few years ago and has had clean reports ever since. Also had a cousin go through it just last year and is doing well so far.

Thanks for the laugh.

Even dropped the VERY rare prayer God's way.

- Though, that'd be a little like Ike Turner asking Tina for Money.

- And I'm not sure he knows you from your alias. - He may be God, but he's no Gutterboy. :pointstosky:

Wish you the best. My first grandparent to die was my grandmother who died of breast cancer in 1980.

Thanks to you all. They seem to think they caught it fairly early which helps. They are going to excise the mass and then we'll know a lot more.

Post #10,000 could only be celebrated this way.

I haven't updated this original post because I really didn't want to jinx all the positive progress my mom had made all along. She had a couple of lumpectomies and like a trooper endured 7 weeks of radiation treatments. The doc says she's free and clear of the cancer. :nono:  We know there's always going to be risks down the road but in a strange twist of events, it may have saved her life instead of jeoparadize it. She seems to have a renewed vigor and a better overall optimism. She's always been kinda high strung and a bit of a worry wart. She's learned to take things more a day at a time and is finally learning to chill and enjoy today. A lesson we could all learn.

Thanks to all for the T & P's :dunno: :overhead: and here's a  for the next 10,000 sorry ass posts that you will have to endure from me.

Again, thanks.
