dain11279 976 Posted December 2, 2009 The biggest problem I have with the whole situation is that he wasn't man enough to show up for his tourney this week. "I can't play because of my injuries." Please. Gimme a break. You won the U.S. Open last year on a broken leg and now you can't show up just because you have some cuts on your face? He just didn't wanna have to deal with the media. It's fine to show up for a tourney that benefits you and your quest towards the most majors ever. But you skip out on a tournament that benefits kids and your foundation. What an asshat. I lost a lot of respect for him this past week.

Those kids and his foundation are obviously much better off for what Tiger has done for them. To complain that what he is doing for them is not being maximized this one week is very short sighted. And he can still write HIS foundation a check to offset what his absence costs them if he wants.

Totally taking away from what it is for..Like you said, kids and the foundation. All that would have been lost as it would become a media circus.

You do realize that they can limit the amount of media that are let onto the grounds right? And there is so many people that can fit into the media center. There are always ways to get around those problems. My point is that with him not showing up, many, many people will not show up and will get refunds for their tickets. And that's money that is taken from his foundation. And I also believe that I read somewhere that he normally donates whatever he wins to the charity as well. If he ends up writing a check to cut the differences, then I'm ok with it. I just think it was a punk move to back out of the tourney with a lame excuse. And I'm a Tiger fan. cbfalcon 825 Posted December 2, 2009 I just think it was a punk move to back out of the tourney with a lame excuse. And I'm a Tiger fan. His family is falling apart. Is that really too lame an excuse for missing work? And it's not like he even has to use sick days. His job is one in which he picks and chooses when he works.....If they had to cancel the tournament because he wasn't playing, I'd understand why he needs to be there. But if the tournament just won't be as big a hit, then I don't see why he isn't okay missing it because his family is falling apart. Also, are you sure people will get refunds for their tickets? KSB2424 3,148 Posted December 2, 2009 Do you homosexuals really believe that is Tiger on that voicemail? Geez ya'll are gullible. How do we know that isn't a Tiger Woods impersonator? Maybe they were just friends. Are you telling me you don't have one female friend? Maybe Tiger was planning a surprise birthday party for his beloved wife and didn't want her to know he was calling all his friends (yes guys can have girl friends). Maybe he was getting this woman to help him shop for a suprise Christmas gift and didn't want to ruin the suprise. Who knows? I'll take a wait and see approach before jumping to conclusions head first like you guys are so willing to do.

KSB2424 3,148 Posted December 2, 2009 The story is over by the way. It was over yesterday. A sports figure had a single car accident and got banged up a little. No DUI. No Domestic Violence. Nada. You guys got it wrong. The original story and gossip was all false. What it did do was stir up some old bullshit and bring fame frothing whoores out of the woodworks. This would happen to Tom Brady, Jack Nicklaus (in his prime), Manny Pacquio, Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade, or any other big time athlete. So congrats on getting it all wrong and still clamouring over private personal stuff. No laws were broken. I wonder if McNabb ever focked around? National Enquiring minds want to know!@#! Lets recap the resume from TMZ. Barefoot driving law in Fla.? X Orignal woman had Tiger relations? X Cops pressing charges and getting a warrant? X So TMZ might have got some of it right, but most of it wrong. That's the very definition of throwing shiit at the wall until something sticks. Funny you totally disregard all the crap that slid down the wall and only focus on what stuck. I've come to expect that however.

I've been on this board for a long time and I can't remember a member ever looking more foolish than you do in this thread. I've seen people bump twp year-old threads where they say a college prospect will be great and he turns out to be a bum, or a guy from 2007 saying a guy like Obama could never get elected because his name sounds too much like a Muslim, but for you to be proven so wrong so fast is embarrassing. LOL I don't blame you for hiding all day.

tubby_mcgee 701 Posted December 3, 2009 Okay...how many other celebs have been in car accidents? (plenty). How many made statements like this: "This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again. " then later in the same statement, reiterate this: "The only person responsible for the accident is me. " "This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me." WTF? Stressful? Uhh-huh. It's stressful because he's worried about the cat getting out of the bag. Otherwise...fock...why would it be stressful? His life isn't in danger. I think he's got enough money to buy a new car. LOL. So what's with the stress? Why would you mention how embarrassing it was? And how can he be "certain" it won't happen again? I'm still trying to figure out what exactly Tiger was referring to in his initial statement, about the stress, and about making it not happen again. I mean jeesh....it was a car crash. Get over it. What was the stressful part? Is he never going to drive again? I mean, that is the only way of making sure it doesn't happen again. That's the very definition of throwing shiit at the wall until something sticks. Funny you totally disregard all the crap that slid down the wall and only focus on what stuck. I've come to expect that however. I guess all is good then. I mean, jeesh...if your wife says you are cheating on her with a chick named Cindy, and then you say "Ah--ha! You're wrong, her name is Mary." You're wife will be all "Ohhh honey. Touche. I guess everything okay then. You're now innocent on a technicality. Just don't let me catch you having an affair with Cindy....or else there'll be trouble" It really doesn't matter what TMZ did. TMZ could have thrown 442 allegations Tiger's way. They could be wrong on all 442. So? It doesn't change the fact that he focked around on his wife, then did the whole "I don't want to talk to the media or cops, just give me some privacy" bit. Do you think Tiger is all "Nana-nanna-boo-boo, TMZ....you didn't bat .1000, so there! Now who's got the last laugh, TMZ? You guessed it Mr. Tiger Woods got the last laugh on TMZ....."
