The biggest problem I have with the whole situation is that he wasn't man enough to show up for his tourney this week. "I can't play because of my injuries." Please. Gimme a break. You won the U.S. Open last year on a broken leg and now you can't show up just because you have some cuts on your face? He just didn't wanna have to deal with the media. It's fine to show up for a tourney that benefits you and your quest towards the most majors ever. But you skip out on a tournament that benefits kids and your foundation. What an asshat. That's pretty unfair. I doubt you have any idea how relentless and absolutely brutal the media attention would have been this week at that tournament. Totally taking away from what it is for..Like you said, kids and the foundation. All that would have been lost as it would become a media circus.

You do realize that they can limit the amount of media that are let onto the grounds right? And there is so many people that can fit into the media center. There are always ways to get around those problems. My point is that with him not showing up, many, many people will not show up and will get refunds for their tickets. And that's money that is taken from his foundation. And I also believe that I read somewhere that he normally donates whatever he wins to the charity as well. If he ends up writing a check to cut the differences, then I'm ok with it. I just think it was a punk move to back out of the tourney with a lame excuse. And I'm a Tiger fan.

His job is one in which he picks and chooses when he works.....If they had to cancel the tournament because he wasn't playing, I'd understand why he needs to be there. Sure limit the media...at the tourney. What about at the hotel--restaurants etc etc? He is holed up in his home now. And limiting the media means nothing.

Every single media member there will be up Tiger's azz the whole time.
