kilroy69 1,270 Posted March 2, 2012 The lucky number sleven. Never heard of the movie. Didn't see press for it. Not even sure they did any. Has a sh!t ton of stars in it and was a pretty sweet movie. I watched it and was floored as to how it flew under the radar for me. Went into it thinking "great....... Its HER turn to pick a movie and THIS is what she wants.....the title even looks stupid" and came out of it thinking daaaaaamnnn....im watching that again when she goes to sleep. Get him to the greek. I saw a preview for this and thought it was going to be the worst movie ever made. I was not even sure what the fock P diddy was saying in the preview.....and really......how good of an actor can Diddy be? Caught it at the start on one of the movie channels.....and could not stop laughing. One of the best comedies I have seen since super troopers and had me laughing hard. I gauge a comedy by how many times I actually laughed out loud or if it had me in tears at all from laughing too hard. This one had lots of both.

shovelheadt 72 Posted March 2, 2012 Hot Tub Time Machine. Looked like the dumbest idea ever...but was hilarious. Ditto. I've watched it 3 times already. Priest - Not that it was great, but it looked horrible and I heard multiple scathing reviews. Wasn't bad IMO. The Other Guys - Again, looked soooo horrible. But I've stumbled across it multiple times and end up watching to the end Bench Warmers - For a kids movie, I've been in tears in a couple of parts from laughter

gocolts 300 Posted March 3, 2012 Boogie Nights. Back when I could work, some dudes were talking about Dirk Diggler. I was like, WTF is Dirk Diggler. My friends(Back when I had some) acted all shocked I had not seen the movie yet. I mentioned it to my ex wife and she rented it from the library. I was like, I don't want to watch some stupid long ass movie about the pron industry, I would rather just watch a porn movie. I focking loved that movie and was blown away by how good it was. Strike 6,030 Posted March 3, 2012 Probably get blasted for this but..... (500) days of Summer Romantic comedy but got was it well done. Pulp Fiction. First time I saw this I didn't even know it was over when it ended. LOL. Great flick.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted March 3, 2012 Brokeback Mountain Seriously, Ann Hathaway's t!ts make it less gay. I agree that (500) Days of Summer wasn't bad either. Red State- Kevin Smith hasn't made a decent movie in forever.
southcarolina 166 Posted March 3, 2012 Bench Warmers - For a kids movie, I've been in tears in a couple of parts from laughter "You might want to put a fielder in those mountains, just in case of....KABANG!!" That was my son's catchphrase when his LL team played its way into a tournament in West Virgina a couple of years ago. Every time someone hit a ball hard i could hear him in the dugout yelling "Ka-Bang!!!"

I went in thinking it would be a mess but it was actually pretty damn good. Mel Gibson may be batsh!t insane but he knows how to make an interesting movie. MDC 7,917 Posted March 3, 2012 Shocked like I didn't expect to like it but loved it? In Bruges was like that - I didn't really want to see it but was blown away at how downbeat and dark it was. More recently The Guard with Don Cheadle and Brendan Gleason, probably the best movie I've seen in the last 6 months. If you're into foreign films, this Spanish movie called The Uninvited Guest was just unpredictable and wild. Shocked, like it was shocking? The first hour of the Human Centipede 2 was dull ... the last 30-45 minutes was so grotesque and over the top I sat there with my jaw on the floor laughing out loud, thinking "I can't focking believe what I'm seeing!" over and over again. redtodd 7 Posted March 3, 2012 Good call on The Other Guys. I rented it because there was nothing else at the Red Box and I was cracking up the majority of the time. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" "Aim for the bushes."

Every time someone hit a ball hard i could hear him in the dugout yelling "Ka-Bang!!!" After a foul tip to the catcher... David Spade "I ticked it! This is one of my all time favorite movies. I think what I liked about it was the whole timeline of the social change from acceptance of drugs/sex in the late 70's Vietnam/counterculture era to the Reagan social conservative swing in the early 80's. Buck can't get a loan at a bank; Dirk get's phag bashed, etc. Also the change in the porn industry from films to VHS mailing. Imagine how the porn industry changed at the invention of the internet? nzoner 939 Posted March 5, 2012 A few years ago I was renting a couple of movies and the mrs(36c)had requested I try and find a decent romantic comedy (right )to go along with one of my kind of movies, generally psychlogical thriller or heavy drama. Anyhow I come across a movie called Playing By Heart with a sh!tload of big names including Sean Connery,Dennis Quaid,Angelina Jolie and more and thought wtf I'll bite. In other words gents if your mrs. entrusts you some evening to pick the movies and she likes romantic comedies/drama believe me you could do a lot worse. Kanil 521 Posted March 5, 2012 Ong Bok - A buddy and I had some time to kill and decided to watch a movie. We went to the theater without knowing what was playing and everything looked like the ghey except for something called "Thai Warrior". It turned out to be one of the better kung-fu type movies I've ever seen. The Hangover - I had actually planned on skipping this movie because it looked like one of those movies where all the funny parts were in the commercial. My wife talked me into going to see it and I loved it the entire time.

Even though it was a huge success, I'm amazed that I can watch it over and over and still laugh the most irrelevant parts.
