The *** OFFICIAL *** Presidential Debate Thread!

Recommended Posts

Of course not. He didn't give any specifics about anything. That's the huge advantage he has in all of this. He can promise to cut the deficit, create jobs, help the middle class, fix health care, and give every american a new puppy. He doesn't even have to explain how he's going to do it. He just has to say he has a better idea or that Obama is nad. It's like watching RP up there. No ideas. Just telling everyone how bad things are.

You can have any opinion you wish to have, and I don't care what anybody's political leanings are as we all have a right to believe what we wish, but to give Obama a pass on this, and actually vehemently support him, in 2008, but now call Romney out on this totally negates any stance you could possibly take in this election. Support who you want, but you've lost all credibility at this point......

Which of his plans? Come on people!

You guys spend all day talking about politics on a message board, yet not a single one of you (besides Jerry) can spend 5 minutes to articulately say what you like about Romney.

I even told Wifeless Pilot what I liked about Romney, and he still couldn't humor anyone with a reply. He's too busy bashing Obummer, because he doesn't like anything about the Romney plan either. Ofcourse, that would be even more painfully obvious, if toolbag RP had the sack to speak up about who he supported in the primaries. Not that I expect any level of honesty or mature conversation from the biggest welching dooshbag on the forum, since Q.Lazz.

I thought when you said "fed mooching cripples" that you was implying you did not want to hear my opinion. :bench:

I fawked a carnie once. She (34B) never had an orgasm. I did my bestest to be the one but she had that thousand yard stare and as out of it like Obama had last night. It wasn't happening for her and it's not happening for him if that makes any sense. Game over.

Obama will still win a second term, there isn't much doubt in that.. But Romney did kick his ass round one

I never scoffed. Ever. This is Carter all over again. I said it weeks ago that this election is going to be a landslide victory for Romney.

Get ready to blame everyone and everything but Obama for being a weak dooshbag and losing to such an inferior man like Mittens.

And I don't listen to the media. They can't tie their collective shoes right as anyone who pays attention can see.

Get ready for the ass pounding screams that the Obama camp is going to exude. Your guy exceeded his coverage by a mile and is now wondering what the fawk is happening to his once beautiful world of make believe.

I can't wait to see the media give them the farwell they deserve. It's going to be an epic goodbye. And then watch the media be classless as they welcome in the Romneys. If you don't believe in the bias, watch and learn what it is to be an outsider or conservative.

Studies have said that this is literally impossible. Romney didn't point to what loopholes he would close or how it is, in fact, possible to make up 5 trillion dollars by cutting loopholes alone.

Here is where you go wrong. You believe Obama when he cites "studies".

The man who did the study Obama is citing says Obama is misrepresenting his study. Imagine that, Obama is a lying sack. I wonder when Obama is gonna start running on his stellar record as President. :dunno:

Princeton Economist: Obama Campaign Is Misrepresenting My Study on Romney's Tax Plan

Last night, the Obama campaign blasted out another email claiming that Mitt Romney's tax plan would either require raising taxes on the middle class or blowing a hole in the deficit. "Even the studies that Romney has cited to claim his plan adds up still show he would need to raise middle-class taxes," said the Obama campaign press release. "In fact, Harvard economist Martin Feldstein and Princeton economist Harvey Rosen both concede that paying for Romney’s tax cuts would require large tax increases on families making between $100,000 and $200,000."

But that's not true. Princeton professor Harvey Rosen tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD in an email that the Obama campaign is misrepresenting his paper on Romney's tax plan:

I can’t tell exactly how the Obama campaign reached that characterization of my work. It might be that they assume that Governor Romney wants to keep the taxes from the Affordable Care Act in place, despite the fact that the Governor has called for its complete repeal. The main conclusion of my study is that under plausible assumptions, a proposal along the lines suggested by Governor Romney can both be revenue neutral and keep the net tax burden on taxpayers with incomes above $200,000 about the same. That is, an increase in the tax burden on lower and middle income individuals is not required in order to make the overall plan revenue neutral.

You can check the math that shows Romney's plan is mathematically possible here.

I disagree. This race us volatile and Romney could take it down the home stretch. Especially if Obama shows up to the subsequent debates acting like he doesn't really care if he gets reelected or not.

Well it's true. I hope Romney doesn't win but that debate performance was absolutely awful and the polls coming out show that Mitt Romney has made up a LOT of ground. It energized his base and impressed independents.

It's possible Obama lost the election by deciding not to show up to a debate 70 million Americans watched. He's still got time to turn it around but he's gotta put everything he has into this next four weeks.

Wonder what the media is using all those "nails in the coffin" for now?

47% WHO? Big part of that 47% is elderly who just found out they are going to get JOBBED by obama after the election, and put behind the poor in the HC pecking order...

:overhead:

Love it.

they really have turned politics into sport...

Non-partisan, point-of-whateverness here:

The "news" channels have to be loving this b/c of the ratings. It doesn't really matter whether it's MSNBC, FOX, Obama, or Romney - the news channels are in the business of making money (first and foremost) and a close election leads to more viewership and more money.

I guess it's both an observation and a question - do you think CNN or MSNBC is happy Obama tanked in that debate? This thing was over and now it's revived, interest in "the sport" is up.

Likewise, would Fox rather see their candidate ahead in a landslide (read: boring, no viewers) or would they want a tight race that keeps ratings up?

How are the elderly going to get jobbed by Obama? He isn't the one that wants to turn Medicare into a voucher program. And his running mate doesn't have designs on privatizing social security.

Medicare advantage gone, subsidies reduced... It will be more profitable to treat Medicaid patients than Medicare, good care follows the money...

First off the voucher program is optional and second its only for younger people not those reliant on it that will get jobbed by obamas cuts... Old people will get a better deal from Romney than Obama it's pretty simple. Younger people get jobbed either way off these ponzi schemes

the DNC is running their campaign like democrats run america:

but a closer look at the DNC’s August report shows it also took out $8 million in loans during that month — which means it had more debt ($11.8 million) than cash on hand ($7.1 million).

The national party committees, in a presidential election year, do benefit from a joint fundraising committee that raises money both for them and for their presidential candidate. But while Mitt Romney’s joint committee has sent $86 million to the RNC since March, President Obama’s joint committee has sent significantly less — about $35 million — to the DNC, including a total of zero dollars in August.

so, obama supposedly raised $181 million in illegal contributions from people outside the usa, yet the DNC is in debt. just goes to show that obama is pocketing millions of dollars and leaving the party hanging out to dry. how much do think obama will have in his cayman bank account after the stimulus fiasco and the billion or so he has gotten in illegal campaign contributions. i'll guess around $5 bill. and he's having someone else buy his $35 million dollar house in hawaii for the move in january.

we have the flotus here in colorado again today, shilling for the hispanic vote in pueblo, which one would think is already a lock for the communist redistributors. either she is here just to waste more money and fly around in the jets, or there is a problem with the messican vote.

So you have no response. Just as I thought.

Romney/Ryan want to dismantle Medicare and Social Security, and that would be bad for seniors. Maybe not current seniors because Romney/Ryan don't have the sack to run for election while telling current seniors that they're gonna fock them, but they're dying to fock the rest of us down the road. It's a despicable ploy.

actually, the current president is already dismantling medicare on his own and hiding it from current seniors by trying to deflect the theft onto ryan's plan, which you already knew, and also why aarp has distanced themselves from the thief in charge. the rhetoric you espouse regarding the subject was dismantled 2 months ago. your side has moved on to big bird now. why do we keep needing to pull you along? is it drug related?

Lol at you siding with the ponzi scheme creators over people trying for real solutions. If only madeoff could have had a few more years to solicit more $$$ the people wouldn't have lost everything :crying:

Romney wants to give people the choice of the current system, or a private system where you control what happens. Good to know you are anti-choice.

I would ask you the details of Obama's plan to save SS and Medicare, but we all know he has no plan. Also, whenever you are asked what Obama's plan is for anything you run away like a schoolgirl who had her hair pulled.

Face it, you sukk the cack of an empty suit.

He lied his focking balls off all night. Even Republicans don't seriously dispute this. Instead they point out that Obama got his butt handed to him anyway, which is true. Hopefully Obama shows up to the next debate to refute what this snake oil salesman is trying to seel the American people.
