Spermoff-First concert you attended

Recommended Posts

We might have done this before, but I don't care.

J. Geils Band with the Motels opening up at Blossom Music Center, summer 1982.

It was the Freeze Frame Tour, right when the album came out.

Newbie will remember.

at that pathetic cesspool, Shea Stadium ... they were officially opening for the Who, but we left after the Clash set ... had zero interest in seeing the 'headliners'

Elvis Presley 1970. Front row on the side of the stage. That's before they warned you about obstructed views. The back up singers where in my way. Elvis saw we couldn't see and came and sat on the edge of the stage directly in front of me and sang a song. That's how you keep fans decades after you die even. Take care of your fans. Oh. I was 10 years old.

Answer in advance. He didn't get fat until around 1975. Best concert I've ever went to.

I was there too. Actually David Johansen opened the show (future Buster Poindexter).

But I was not a tool, I stayed for The Who. First concert - I was 13 and I think it was a school night.

I too thought I was the coolest kid the next day wearing my concert shirt !!!

That was back in the early 70s, so the memory doesn't go back that far.

I think it was Jethro Tull, or the Grateful Dead.

I would have loved to have seen them

Also I can't remember my first concert. Probably 1983 or so.

the outlaws and molly hatchet, kingston nh fairgrounds june of 85

I had tickets to see Molly hatchet at this bar in Cocoa Beach and ended up having to work. The bar was famous for getting name acts. The Stones even played there unannounced once.

Cheap Trick and Uriah Heap at the Saenger Theater in 1982. First time I ever saw people freely smoking the ganga in the open. People were taking bongs out in the lounge area and the cops didn't care.

You never wear your concert T the next day of school after a concert. You wait a few days. Everybody knows you went to the show as you talked about it for weeks.

Had to look up when it was, August 1994:

Metallica, Fight, Suicidal Tendencies, and Candlebox at Bicentennial Park in Miami. Good show but waited forever for Metallica to come on

They have played on the 4th of July every year at Red Rocks for years out here. Always been a fun show, seen them a couple of times.

Queen- Madison Square Garden, 1982? Billy Squire opened for them, Bowie came out and did Under Pressure. Pretty good one to start.

Was still 3/4 original lineup and I love the sone Athena !

They kicked ass with classics. It's ok, don't feel bad you can D/L the MP3 and recreate history. (All jokes aside they did record those shows for a live Album)

Crazy that '83 was their "farewell" tour and here they are playing their 50th anerversary tour in 2015 (32 years later)

That was 94, because I went in 93 and it was Primus, Alice in Chains, Tool and some other bands.
