My Problem with Trans Jenner

Recommended Posts

I don't have a problem with Tranny Jenner doing what the fock EVER to himself. Like I've said before, I don't understand it; I love dogs, associate much better with dogs - but I'm not looking for fur plugs and a tail implant and the right to pee outdoors.

Here's my problem: He's getting the GD Arthur Ashe Courage Award. Nelson Mandela, Ashe, Payton, JImmy V, - even Stu Scott - got this award.

Really? How FOCKING COURAGEOUS is it to "come out" in the most liberal, open-minded, honor the biggest freak community in the WORLD (Hollywood) environment that ever existed? Fock, even Caligula would blanch at what Hollyweird takes for granted.

If we're going to give this award to a tranny, give it to the Navy SEAL who came out as a tranny. Talk about a focking hostile workplace. Coming out as a tranny in Hollywood is like blowing a toddler in Jerry Sandusky's prison cell. It's not only dr rigueur, it's focking celebrated.

And, comma, while we're at it semicolon; Trans Jenner hasn't been relevant in sports in the last 40 focking years. And the Olympics are the least relevant "sport" since the PBA.

What I hate most is his receiving this award belittles and diminishes the truly courageous, truly relevant and most truly deserving prior recipients. Now, it's not about 'courage', but about political correctness and celebrating the biggest freak.

But I guess we should have seen this coming after Michael Sam won last year.

We can only assume that Jerry Sandusky wins the next AA Courage award next year for his 'courageous decision to love children despite the bigotry and pedophobic conditions he faces on a daily basis".

Again, I don't care what this freak does. That's what makes the world so much more interesting. And I actually respect the fact that we've come to accept even this level of deviance. But there is a distinct difference between acceptance and lionization. And to conflate the truly heroic with the attention-seeking (I hired Annie Liebowitz and did a Vanity Fair fashion shoot!) narcissism trans Jenner has shown in his "courageous decision" (with accompanying reality show) is truly a step back for us all, and a slap in the face to those who sincerely deserve this (made up) honor.

Could have just stopped at the first sentence.

I'm amazed how many people (usually the religious right) suddenly care about the Arthur Ashe award now that it's going to a transgender and they may not agree with their lifestyle.

Not ripping you individually or accusing you of it....just a common theme

What do you expect from ESPN? It's all about the head-line. Everybody Sucks Nowdays channel.

Yeah I didn't realize the Arthur Ashe award was sacred. Really not worth getting bent out of shape over imo

I'm pretty sure they have since re-branded as BETSPN.

I tuned into ESPN1 and ESPN2 the other day and they both had separate rappers with the stoopid hats and grills, dreds and whatnot as "guest commentators".

Fantastic. Can you guys please speak to the 75% illegitimacy rate in sports athletes since that's the only thing you have in common with them?

The funny thing is (and I am not being hyperbolic) - You have to realize that at least 40% of their on-air sports "personalities" wouldn't pass the morals clause that Disney;'s (AKA ABC/Disney/ESPN) costumed characters have to pass. Yet, they have no problem talking about things like integrity, discipline and selflessness.

AA was a pretty amazing, classy, intelligent and courageous individual. Most of the subsequent recipients were too.

What's next? Snooki for revealing what she looks like without makeup and breast implants?

Well, wiff likes to get bent out of shape. For some of the rest of us, it is an interesting topic because the voters (who votes?) selected a person who was an olympic champion 40 years ago who decided to go public in a Vanity Fair airbrushed continuation of his reality show attention whooredness, over a girl who battled cancer to make it back on the court one last time. :dunno:

Jenner winning the Ashe award is stupid.

Limbaugh calling for Jenner to be rejected as a Republican is also stupid.

The petition to strip Jenner's Olympic gold medal probably tops the list for stupidity.

This .

Our society is becoming way to accepting of deviants from the norm.

Bruce, you wanna be a chick? fine. The technology is there for you to do that. Your pain and suffering since whenever you decided you were a woman trapped in a mans body? Sure, Whatever... I can't judge you given that I haven't walked a mile in your shoes.

But the Arthur Ashe Courage award? No.

Granted, you didn't ask for it, but you are not deserving of it. At least not for turning into a woman.

If the award was bestowed upon you for having to put up with your ex wife and all her crazy self entiltled offsprings before you, then you deserve it more than most.

By the way, your daughter Kylie is smoking hot. Good job on that one

Other than Nelson Mandela and maybe some names on the list I don't recognize, it's pretty much sports related.

So maybe next year John Rocker or Riley Cooper. In today's PC world, that's pretty courageous right there. Either'd be a nice follow up to three years in a row featuring a lesbian, gay guy, and trannie.

I'm gonna take a stab at it and guess that next year it's gonna be either Trayvon, Freddie Gray, or Steve Jobs

Agreed 1000%. If there was any good left in this world he would refuse it and suggest it be given to someone who actually deserves it. The female college basketball player (Lauren Hill) that recently passed from cancer is a great suggestion

I have one, thanks. Just the fact that they're giving him/her an award for CHOOSING to become a freakshow over someone who was left with no choice and did everything good with their time left. I don't know, it just bothers me. Doesn't seem fair

I actually saw highlights from Lauren Hill's big 'comeback game'. I know it's not PC to say, but she had no explosiveness off the dribble and she was going through the motions, defensively. On the layup she scored on, I did not exactly see a lot of defensive effort being given by the opponent. A good college basketball defender would have smacked that weak stuff into the 10th row.

So an award that you likely never heard of going to someone you don't know over someone you don't know bothers you?

Uh, yeah I've heard of the Arthur Ashe award. They used to give it to people who deserved it. Look at post #7 by JK. That pretty much sums it up.

Correct on all points.

And Limbaugh really said that?? Every time I think he's as crazy as he could possibly become, he says something even more dumb. And people still listen to him!

Bringing up Sandusky to correlate 1:1 with Jenner is not fair in the least and apples to oranges when speaking in the context of doing something to others and committing a crime.

However steering to the conversation a different path, I'm assuming Pedophilia is a true inner wanting by people like Sandusky. It's "who" he is....inside....something we as society, even if he doesn't act on it tries to quell by therapy and we sure as shiit don't celebrate it. We as society draw a line to feeling and wanting to be with children as taboo. So we all draw lines in the sand.....some just do a little further up the spectrum of "ab-normal" behavior. Even if it comes organically from within a person.

Not sure why this called for its own thread since many of the same issues were already being discussed in the other thread, but... ABC/ESPN doesn't give one fock about celebrating transgenderism, they care about ratings, and if they can get Jenner to show up and accept the award that will generate exponentially more ratings than giving it to a dead girl whose story they've already wrung tons of mileage out of. People will tune in to see Jenner just for the freak show element. No one outside of her immediate family is going to tune in to see Lauren Hill get it posthumously. It's a focking ESPY for Christ's sake, not the Medal of Honor.

Sandusky's true inner desires had victims - I draw the line at kids because he wrecked their lives.

Jenner's orientation hurts nobody except maybe him/herself. So I think it's perverse but I could not give a fock what it does to itself.

Comparing that to Sandusky isn't apples or oranges, it's apples to freaking cinderblocks.

It's true, and I find it funny how Diane Sawyer is on ABC. Good Morning America has been a Kardashian / Jenner cheerleader is on ABC, and ESPN is ABC. They are cashing in on this.

And you know what, that's fine, give the people what they want. The only thing that rubs me the wrong way is when you give an award, regardless of what the award is, just for ratings. At that point the ESPY's have now turned into WWE to me. They lose all credibility.

I agreed from a "victim" and "hurting others" aspect it is apples and oranges. I even said as much.

I tried to go a different path speaking on a more macro level, too where we as a society draw lines in regards to accepting or even celebrating "ab-normal" and "un-natural" feelings and behavior even if they are organically felt by the individual.

What is and what isn't taboo in society is an interesting topic. How those things come to be taboo, why they are taboo, where we draw lines on what is and isn't. That's where I was going. Even if a person never acts on being a pedophile, never hurts another, those feelings are still negatively looked upon and is taboo. Some folks, simply draw their line closer to the middle of the spectrum and include ab-normal feelings and wants like those by Jenner is all I'm saying. We all draw lines, the question is where.
