titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted March 16, 2016 Funny how the left, the media, blacks, women, Hispanics, Muslims, centrists, and about 60% of republicans are downgrading Trump. To much. Fixed. This general election will be a b!tchslapping.
RLLD 4,246 Posted March 22, 2016 I freely admit that at first i kinda enjoyed it all. The media squirming, the political establishment stomping their feet the holding their breath...ALL of the crying and moaning, just very gratifying. That was enjoyed with some expectation that this would have all ended some time ago, and that reason would eventually prevail. What I am left with is this notion that there are many people out there who are allowing emotion to dictate where logic should prevail. The Trump movement is really no better than BLM, or the KKK, or any other group based on illogical and a sick mentality.

hoytdwow 202 Posted March 22, 2016 Trump is smarter than most everyone else. I tend to doubt this, but we'd need a definition of smart. He is obviously intelligent and shrewd in a certain sense. But he certainly doesn't sound very smart. He makes W sound like freaking Churchill.

You keep using that word, I don't think it means what you think it means. Again, not what I said or what was said. Someone said he was smarter than everyone...that is clearly not the case for anyone who has listened to him speak on any number of actual issues that President has to deal with. He is very smart in making deals and getting uninformed rubes to follow him like a cult leader.

BiPolarBear 485 Posted March 23, 2016 Any body that digs around in this thread can see I am the farthest thing from a Trump supporter. I do however, want to acknowledge that I watched his speech to the Jewish group this weekend and thought he did remarkably well. I figured Jews as being a very tough crowd for him. He used a teleprompter (I hear) and had professional help crafting a speech. He told the Jews he would bring the American Embassy to Jerusalem among other things. He was completely covered up with cheers the whole speech. He aced using the teleprompter and the CNN commentators looked stunned when he finished. Now, with the Brussels attacks, we have Trump doubling down on what he has already said about not letting Muslims into the U.S.. He also said they would have gotten information out of the terrorist they caught sooner if they had tortured him. I don't expect he will apologizing for that statement. He did nothing but help himself with the Jewish group and probably has a lot of people saying "maybe he is right" about the Muslims. The only candidate on either side with all the momentum just got faster.

KSB2424 3,148 Posted March 23, 2016 I saw Kasich give his reading off of paper. What's the difference?Nothing. But people arent praising Kasich for actually being able to simply give a speech. It's sort of expected to be able to do that. They cheered ALL the speakers. Trump, Kasich, Ryan all of them because they gave pro Isreal speeches. But because Trump "aced using a teleprompter" he gets extra credit since it was......actually a surprise. Think about that for one second. Let it sink in. I hope you don't think I am please. The CNN commentators seemed impressed, and he will be doing more of the same going forward. Getting his speeches written by real political brains and looking far more presidential. There will be plenty of youtube footage of George W. doing worse. Obama, not so much.
