SUXBNME 1,346 Posted March 9, 2016 Speaking of long intros first actual lyric at 4:25 This is not getting the respect that it deserves bump Excellent call eta: Montose Space Station #5 got it's intro partialy from 2112 Overture? Yep...Think so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6BTTJo1KmM
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted March 9, 2016 I know the lyrics, Pete even said it was about boobs/pvssy, didn't he??? It is not about boobs. The part of the song where the squeeze box is on her chest is about an accordion. There are other parts where he is talking about a squeeze box like it is a vagina. Like many songs during that era (and others?) there is double meaning to the words.

We had a project assigned to us in school to come up with numerous examples of metaphors and I used all songs, one assignment that was truly a labor of love. vuduchile 1,941 Posted March 9, 2016 It's way over played at this point, but this might actually be the greatest intro guitar riff of all time.

KC Deuce 1 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) Probably been mentioned - Enter Sandman - Metallica - one of my faves. And "Children of the Sun" - Billy Thorpe and "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova Edited January 8, 2017 by KC Deuce
GobbleDog 822 Posted January 8, 2017 Chicago Blackhawks has played this for years every time they score a goal. I didn't know the song til I heard it on Pandora. Great opening, and great song to boot. Chelsey Dagger by The Fratellis.

Chelsey Dagger by The Fratellis. As a Red Wings fan; I can say that this has been one of my "least" liked intros the past several years! But I do agree . . . it's a good intro. And a kickin' song. Djgb13 2,338 Posted January 8, 2017 Hell's Bells was the first thing I thought of. Exactly. Best intro IMO. Had a pitcher in college I played with that would come out to the mound to that song. He was our best pitcher too so it made it even better

Big Guy 1,400 Posted January 10, 2017 And "Children of the Sun" - Billy Thorpe and "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova both have awesome intros In the early 80's my nephew was watching MTV, glued to the set just a couple feet away from the screen I cranked up Aldo Nova's "Fantasy" making it louder and louder. I knew the song well and thought I'd make his viewing experience a little more interesting. I waited until the intro came to a climax and at just the right time threw a handful of those white exploding caps between him & the TV. I pretty much scared him shi+less.
