Desmond is making Fantasy guys happy campers. He's the best hitting outfielder in the American league right now - even hitting better than Trout...

Disagree ... and Mookie Betts says hi

Boy, yea Betts is tearing it up.. They are about as close as you can get. Runs: 51 to 61, Hits 87 to 88, HRs 11 to 15 an RBIs 46 to 50... Desmond is hitting .312 to Betts' .290 - so it's close for sure.

"I'm buying him as the number one overall ss next year. there is an 11ft decrease in right from the nationals home park to the Rangers. he hit 19 Homers last year in a down year. In the band box in hot weather I'll take the over at 25 Homers. he might still hit .240 but he's gonna crush. "

I said this in spring training and stand by it. He is currently the 7th OVERALL player in my league.

I'll admit, never seen him actually play SS... But wow, he's turned himself into a freaking phenomenal CF. It's like he's played it his entire life - freakish range, great catching ability and a big ass arm. He's already thrown out several at home and at 3rd.

You don't want to see him play short... It wasn't it pretty...

Just when you thought walkoff celebrations couldn't get any gheyer.

That was Upton's 4th homer in the past 4 games. If that dude has found his rhythm, then a) he's a good fill-in for JD, and b ) if JD comes back full healthy, which he should, then that lineup is SCARY.

BTW, Miggy hit a "461 foot" homer earlier in the game that left the stadium. That is basically impossible in Commerica, and it definitely went farther than 461:

In early May, right before Miggy went on his first hot streak, I was standing right where he hit the ball watching him in BP. Dude was hitting 450'+ with ease. He has found his power again, I think he's just warming up.

So Colon and Synderggard flip flop starts and Colon takes a comebacker off his thumb and taken out in first inning. Contusion. Mets can't catch a break.

Rangers: 10 game divisional lead, tied for most wins in the league - and it's all about to come crumbling down...

Well maybe not a total melt down, but we are faced with the real pitching woes now.. Holland has been sent to the DL. Colby Lewis is going to sit for at least 4 weeks, team will reevaluate his arm after that. And Darvish is prolly not coming back until after the break... We've a ton of young talent and prospects - we may have to start burning thru it.

George Springer with a triple and a grand slam...in the first inning. Making for a crazy start to the Indians/Astros matchup in Geek Homers. Indians with three triples in an inning, Astros with a nine-spot in the first.

The Rangers totally focking own David Price in our park. Coming in he had a 6.54 Era in this park - he got yanked after going 2.1 innings, 12 hits, 6 earned runs - ouch.

That was arguably the worst starting pitching I have ever seen.

Indians perfect at home in the month of June 11-0. Also, a 7-0 record against the Tigers this year.

 They literally can't beat them. They are 38-29 against the rest of the league.

Lemahieu hit with a line drive while 0-for-1 with two walks, knocking him out of the game. Why does this matter? Because a guy had him with a 49 streak on Beat The Streak, 8 away from $5.7 million.

Detroit=dump. Comerica=beautiful.

Pretty much. Although Dan Gilbert is doing his best to make his part of the D much better. The area around the Quicken loans building is awesome.

Ranges faced off with the best hitting team in the league - we out hit the Red Sox 23 to 13 and outscored them 37 to 24 in the 3 game series.

Was nice to see us honor and pay tribute to Big Papi before Saturday night's game - he's a class act and probable HOF'er.

Based on on-the-field only, Ortiz is a first ballot HOF'er. But then again so are Pete Rose, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens.

What is happening is they are focusing on building up downtown and making it livable and appealing, while the other parts of the city rot and die. However, I don't disagree with the logic. Many parts of the city are beyond saving. Let those areas die and then just mow them down and either rebuild or even have urban farms or woodlands. Detroit in 20 years will be a very modernistic, unique, fun city. Unfortunately a lot of people will have to continue to suffer until then.

The outer parts are already dead, They just do not know it yet. Funny thing is that one of the detroit billionaires wanted to do just what you are talking about. Turning things into urban farms and woodlands. Got shot down because too many people felt like it would hearken back to the plantation days. (like there were plantations in detroit)

I've been hearing urban farming for a while now. It makes perfect sense. However, there are very powerful people who have control over the food industry who don't want to see people or communities growing their own food. I think it will happen eventually, though.

Why would they wait so long to resume and not just call the game since it was official. Resumed at like 2:30+ in the morning.

Hate the SpankMees so I'm not complaining but find it odd it resumed so late.

You can argue that the Blue Crew handled it poorly upfront. It was raining steady for damn near all the game from the 5th on - should of been called sooner... But they let it go... So Texas pitches to the Yanks in the bottom of the 8th - that was ok with Girardi.. But once the top of the 9th rolled around, we have a runner on 1st, no outs and a 3-1 count to the batter - THEN Girardi decides the conditions are too dangerous and unsafe to continue play.. He claims he just wanted the refs to inspect the mound - bullshiat. He was hoping it would be called and he could steal a 6 to 5 win.... The Blue Crew basically told Girardi that he was okay playing thru it up till the 9th, this game was going to finish. And they did.

Thanks for the clarification. I then agree they had to resume it.

The Yankees can't hang with good teams. Time for Cashman to dump what he can. Beltran and Chapman could provide a nice haul. Gardner might help a good team too. Stuck with the rest, maybe Sabathia could gain some interest too, but won't bring back much.
