Top 10 WR for 2016.......

Recommended Posts

Austin is going pretty late in drafts and being the only real weapon next in line for touches behind Gurley, he's someone who could really shatter his ADP.

Risk is low...Reward is great.....I'm a buyer provided his ADP doesn't rise and I doubt that it does.

Me too I will buy , but not expecting 100 catches .

Neither am I.

However his current FFC ADP is 10.12 PPR and 10.09 Standard.

Heck if he can come close to matching last year's numbers: 52-473-5 receiving and 52-434-4 rushing, I'd be very pleased getting him that late in my draft.

I consider Goff an upgrade to what they had there last year at the QB position. And again, being the clear #2 weapon behind Gurley, he's all but guaranteed (barring health) to get his touches.

While TDs are unpredictable I do expect him to modestly increase his yardage numbers. I also expect a modest increase in receptions, say around 70 catches.

As Tanastastic alluded to, I'm on board with him as my #4 WR depending on how my draft shakes out.

My initial list was a bit off:

1. Brown

2. Julio

3. OBJ

4. A Robinson

5. Hopkins

6. D Thomas

7. Green

8. Marshall

9. Keenan Allen

10. Tate

I like Tate a lot. No more Megatron, weak running game, not much competition. Plus, I think Detroit will play from behind a lot this up coming season. He's been consistent the last 2 years and that was as a #2.

Lions sign both M Jones and A Boldin .

I think Boldin is the type of player that will take away rec from Tate's total .

No Marshall? That's a mistake, especially now that Fitz has been signed.

Yeah yeah. Fitzy hadn't signed when I did my new list. I'll edit it.

Where do the top 3 tight ends play into this?

Even with Brady out 4 games I think Gronk can place around 7-8.

Reed? He was a TD machine, but I don't see enough yards to get into the top 10. Maybe between 12-15?

Does Dez bounce back from last years foot injury and lack of quality QB or are we at the start of his decline?

That's the question. I think he's still top 10 but it hinges on Romo being healthy and Dez staying healthy, which doesn't look to be a good mix. I've flip flopped on Dez so many times already.

I don't trust his health or his QB health. I have him ranked 14, but they are about 6-8 other guys ranked lower I'd rather have on my team.

I would agree , can't trust Romo to stay healthy and who's going to take over when he goes down ?

For that reason alone its been really hard to rank Bryant in his normal wr ranking in the top five .

Everyone knows from this site and average of 5 to 7 wrs every year since 2003 have fallen out of the top 10 in fantasy rankings the next year, but everyones list has the top 10 wrs from last year minus 1 or 2.. That's not happening..

Top 10

Odell Becham

Antonio Brown

AJ Green

Sammy Watkins

Keenan Allen

Randall Cobb

Mike Evans

Donte Moncrief

Brandin Cooks

Michael Flloyd

I'll throw cooper out there...apparently played hurt most of last year and still had a great rookie season, should improve on those numbers. Def number 1 on his team, Carr should be better too.

I won't make a list of ten, but i think that there are quite a few guys being overlooked by the experts.

Cobb- I think he benefits most from Jordy coming back, and word is he played all of last year with a bum shoulder... He claims he's been hitting the weight room, which is important in the hand battle that a possession must win to be effective. I think we see career high numbers from Cobb this year. 3-4th round pick is too low for I guy i think will lead GB in receptions

Desean Jackson- I think he's way undervalued as a 8thish round pick... I will be targeting him in every draft, as I don't trust Garcon, Reed can't stay healthy, and Doctson is green... If Jackson can stay healthy he should be putting up top 10 numbers, bank on it!

Floyd - I think he steps up huge with an aging Fitz, and a concussed Brown missing most of training camp and all of the preseason. This is the year that he takes over as head guy, and Palmer looks his way more often than not.

1. Antonio Brown. No reason to be cute here. He's the best there is and the Steelers use him like he's the best.

2. Julio Jones. Ryan won't hesitate to throw it to him anywhere on the field at any time. His targets should again top 170.

3. Allen Robinson. This is his year to blow up. Everything points to a massive breakout year. Lookout!

4. Odell Beckham. Best talent in the game. Shepard should cut into production, but still top five numbers.

5. AJ Green. Steady as they come. No competition for anything and he'll shine once again.

6. Amari Cooper. Carr loves him and he's healthy. Expect massive numbers from a future top five lock.

7. Brandin Cooks. PPR stud! Lack of TD's will be made up for with catches. Expect 110+ receptions.

8. Keenan Allen. He just seems brittle. Rivers will find him often. Top five numbers if stays healthy.

9. Mike Evans. Winston loves him and he's really tuned into this year. Expect big things.

10. Jordy Nelson. Will be back with avengence!! Too many weapons in GB for Jordy to be top five.

OUT: DeAndre Hopkins. Miller will take too much and Osweiler inconsistent.

Almost in: Sammy Watkins. Bills focus on getting him the ball more he will be huge!!

Ok, so we all know that it's become a passing league and RB's are less relevant in today's FFL and even NFL to some degree. So, who are your top 10 WR's going into this fall?

1. OBJ

2. Julio

3. Brown

4. A Robinson

5. Hopkins

6. D Thomas

7. Green

8. Marshal

9. Nelson

10. Landry or Kelvin

this was posted a while ago. I dont hang around the main bored much these days.

Brown

OBJ

Julio

Robinson

Hopkins

Green only because he should be a target monster

Marshall

Cooper

Cooks

Evans

Nelson has a lot to prove to vault to top 10 status right away. so does Benjamin coming off a lost year. DThomas will be solid but not top 10 with that stable of QBs.

also watch for Cobb. The return of Nelson may do more for Cobbs production than Nelsons own.

Why do people have Cooks so high in their rankings? Brees always spread the ball around. Too many weapons there.

Cooks and then a rookie is a lot of weapons? Fleener who is just a guy? Spiller sucks and Ingram is the running back. Brees will indeed spread it around, but Cooks is the only one I would call a weapon.

I think Mike Thomas is going to be shockingly good.

nah...i agree with spanker here

cooks..in another city/situation is stud like.....cooks has the abilty and talent.....but look at a team like arizona....ive seen some sites that literally all have floyd/fitz/brown all ranked, literally, together......its not always about talent and ability...i mean look at mike floyd....great size...1st round pick..if it were another city hed prob be a top 30 fantasy guy.....but his system/qb spread it around and takes what the defense gives him instead of forcing balls his way

i see a similar pattern with cooks...cooks in another system gets forced the ball...and yeah at certain times new orleans will find ways to get it to him...but to me...theres thomas, fleener, snead and ingram.....theres enough options ...and with a qb with as much experience as brees....brees can go through many read and take what is given...rather than force things....

i drafted cooks last year in the 2nd in a high stakes ppr league...i managed to win it...and cooks was pretty good in the 2nd half of the year for sure....and some attribute his slow start to brees possibly playing through an injury....which i could totally see...they just missed on some golden opportunities that may have pushed cooks numbers into wr1 territory.....but i wouldnt trust cooks.....not at his current price

I don't see him having better numbers than Willie Snead.

PPR is part of it for many. He went 84/1138/9 in his second year in the league. That's 14th in the league in yards and scores, 17th in catches. If he stays there, that's pretty good. If he gets better, he's nearing the top ten, in the same offense. Colston had a couple of top ten ish years, IIRC.
