Oof. What a dreadful episode. No action at all, no surprises, no suspense. We knew they were coming to steal their sh1t. Did they really need to dedicate an entire 90 minute episode to it?

 

And I really like JDM as Negan for what they're letting him work with. But he's not scary or threatening at all, he's just becoming annoying.

I agree. The Negan character is becoming monotonous with his spiel. The zombies are becoming slower and slower and seem to be more background noise as of late.

Im calling BS that a woman that smoking hot in a world with no laws would be around like that. Even if she was Dwights wife and had him protecting her, there is just no way she wouldnt have had the stuffing raped out of her by now. All the greasy, desperate men in that gang and every other gang wants to get laid. Heck even the fat nurse lady would have been prime pickins in alexandria. There would be battle royals over the available women in every encampment. Maybe not bnow that she is Negans woman, but def at other points since the breakdown of society.

Pretty sure that shlt exists to some degree in the comics. But for a TV series I think they want to avoid a what would be a rape fest if they were trying to be as realistic about the situation as they could. I mean everyone knows that would happen. I for one am glad they haven't gone there

Yeah small groups of walkers are no threat to anyone with weapons. Serving humans pose a much greater threat which is no surprise. I wonder if there will ever be a point in the show where the Walker population is basically eliminated?

I liked the episode alot, but theres one thing that grates on me. The dialogue is so drawn out in every back and forth due to long periods of silence between characters. Its like answer my focking question Ahole! I know it creates tension and atmosphere but it feels like it extends runtime while minimizing script. Like one conversation takes 10min because theres a long pause or nothing said at all when someone says something.

 

People should understand that the zombies are just filler in this season and will not be the focal point of any conflicts. This is the battle between human encampments now and I think thats good. Similar to the governors troop vs the prison season.

I don't see how someone doesn't just say 'fock it' and waste Negan, especially before he took their guns. After killing Glenn and Abraham, I can't think of a death gruesome enough for that ahole Negan.

 

On the subject of Negan, WTF is up with Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays him? He used to be a big, stocky mofo (Watchmen) and now he looks like he's 100 lbs lighter and would suck a cack for $10 worth of meth.

I took a season off then got sucked back in with the Negan character, and now I'm hating myself. It's about as dumb as ever. But I am really looking forward to the Rick redemption arc after it seems he is utterly defeated. We've only done that one like 5 or 6 times.

That would be pretty dumb IMO. Morgan is doing well with it but the character is pretty one-note and is going to get tiring pretty fast. Especially since they're giving him 40 carries a game. The show runners are like "Holy sh!t, we finally got someone who can act a little! Use the sh!t out of him!" If he doesn't die this season I'm probably out again.

It's like when the joker or the riddler would never kill Batman in that hokey batman show when I was growing up. Always dragged it out with some ridiculous scenario that lasted two episodes. This show is like that but it will take a whole season. We all know he gets it, it's just a matter of who. Chalk is Rick, decent odds bet is Daryl, long shot is Maggie. I would go for the gusto and take Maggie. He's probably going to try and bang her when she's finally found out, and she will get him then.
