I do agree that there is no proof it impacted the election results. In fact, I wish Obama would just come out and say that he doesn't think it impacted the election. Then maybe Trump and his cronies can stop pretending that this wasn't the Russians. Right now, Trump is letting his ego get in front of his ability to run this country and make the right decisions.

If we had had more information on BOTH sides that might have been a good thing, but when all the stolen dirty laundry is only from one side it just skews the whole process. And this was along with Trump deviating from what has become SOP on things like sharing his tax returns. So you have one side holding back on what we normally get to see, and the other side having info being released that would normally be considered confidential, and this helps our democratic process because voters are "more informed"? Please.

 

If someone needed any information other than what was already out there (public information) on Trump and his many flaws, they chose to be willfully ignorant imo. His business practices, attitude towards others, failed business projects, rush to judgment, etc was all on display for the better part of the past 30 years. No one in their right mind should be caught off guard with what he brings to the table.

 

 

On the other hand, the Democrats were running a platform that was night and day to their closed door dealings with one another. The media anointed Clinton as the president. They were equally complicit as the DNC in getting their agenda put into the White House. Putting the Mothers of the Movement in the public eye, advocating for minimum wage growth, creating an impression of a fair and balanced primary race was all a sham in order to pull wool over voters' eyes. That information was made publicly available for the world to see. In essence, it leveled the playing field between a pile of poo and a pile of sh!t, which most educated voters again, already knew about both candidates.

 

Would I have LOVED RNC information to be available too? Damn right. But the fact that it wasn't didn't influence my vote one iota. Fock 'em all.

I would hope that everyone would agree that a more informed electorate is better for the country than a lesser informed electorate. So the notion that this somehow hurts our election process is puzzling to me.
