Filthy Fernadez

Would you support the Feds requiring photo I.D. for all General Elections?

Recommended Posts

Filthy was nowhere to be found When Trump was a joke to even the Fox News crowd. But now that Trump Has somehow won, He thinks he's George Will. He's basically the equivalent of a Patriots fan In January of 2005.

No way to prove it, but I'd bet money Filthy had to google George Will, just to find out who he is.

I didn't google it, as I don't care. I have no clue who he is

You have to have an ID to do almost every other official thing in this country.

Why not voting?

It's very reasonable.

I can honestly say if your post reflects your thoughts that you are downright ignorant on who doesand doesn't have an ID. That requiring it without providing means to obtain one for those without is a non starter and is what people are talking about as a problem with disenfranchisement of certain groups of voters.

okay explain to me who doesn't have an id.

Don't you need an ID to collect welfare? Seems to me it would be pretty easy to give them an ID along with their EBT cards and other handouts.

Not for nothin, and it's not really an argument I would give two shiits about, but I don't like some of

the myopic mindsets herein, so:

There ARE certain groups of marginalized individuals out there for whom having a valid state issued ID

isn't quite the slam dunk that some of you have espoused.

One example strictly for edification purposes;

Think about it, you don't just march into the DMV and they hand you an ID. You need at least two pieces of ID -

in order to get a THIRD piece of ID. Moreover, they don't hand it to you there - you need a permanent mailing address to which they will send the ID in about 4-6 weeks.

I used to volunteer at a shelter for battered women. These women would often leave with nothing but the clothes on their back and their kids. Part of the control process is controlling the paperwork. Think about it - no ID, no SS card - no job. No job, no independence. It's a common tactic among abusers. Even if they had these things, there are often short time limits for women/families to stay at the shelter - hence, no permanent mailing address. Add in the fact that many women are trying to stay off the radar, and it's a very real scenario for far too many people.

Some of you guys live in very sheltered, selfish worlds. There are far grander things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy, Horatio.

The only thing I"ll say to the mindless stupidity (behind the original premise of this thread) of those that scream that "There are MILLIONS of registered voters who are DEAD!" Millions more who live in entirely different STATES! Yeah, I've got at least three dead family members who are still on the voter rolls. Turns out, the selfish dead don't tend to fill out the right paperwork notifying the voting board of their recent death.

Yeah, sport - when they start showing up as having voted en masse, come talk to me...

Yes. One should be able to prove who they are in order to vote, very simple and not at all hard for anyone.

What kind of id is currently needed to vote?

If ONLY there was some kind of engine of search that could help with questions like this....

:dunno:

Every old lady I've ever seen at the polling place asked for my "ID" which I assumed meant my driver's license. Does anyone actually use their "voter ID"?

It's insane if people can vote without some sort of official picture ID.

Why not? You need ID to drive a car, open a bank account, buy alcohol, get a job, and file taxes. Deciding who leads the country seems like a no brainer

Because voting is a right and those other official things are not. :dunno:

If that's the case than we should take it very seriously. Every attempt should be made to protect a persons vote. Having anyone walk in and say a name isn't very secure to me.

All they have to do is tattoo everyone with a serial number or bar code. No need to carry ID.

That's why you have to register to vote and those registration s have to be vetted.

Translation: I may not be able to find one that doesn't sound left leaning claiming disenfranchisement of minorities.

In reality, there may be some people who legitimately don't have it but a very small percentage. Making photo I.D. a requirement to vote only helps clean up and legitimize the process nationally.

The translation is that we have done threads like this numerous times. There are clear stats out there showing who is less likely to have an ID. That is why it must be done free and easy to obtain or it's just political BS.

In this day and age, we should be able to churn out IDs like a bank does a credit card (my credit union does it while you wait a couple minutes).

It's not selfish and not about getting those pesky dead to quit voting. It's about requiring a photo ID in ALL states to ensure the process is legitimate. Go back and look at the link I posted that shows how many states require nothing in the form of I.D. to cast a vote.

I cast a vote for Candidate A in Georgia where I have to prove who I am and in another state, someone is allowed to walk up, give a name and an address and cast a vote for Candidate B. If that vote isn't vetted, it is cancelling my vote. Requiring someone to prove who they say are IS protecting the right to vote, NOT taking it away.

It's because there is a burden on the SELLER to complete a background check, not the gun owner.

Though...here is the question. It has to be free...including transportation to a place to obtain one (part of the issue is where to get ID and the hours).

But...free is free to them...how much do we spend on trying to solve a problem that is statistically insignificant? If we can come up with a cost that is equally as insignificant cost wise...have at it. Print those IDs up.

So, the libtards can participate and fund voter registration drives, but getting these losers a Fockin ID is too rough a road. It's all a sham, designed to make a false narrative that the racist republicans are disenfranchising minorities. Jigs up.
