Would you support the Feds requiring photo I.D. for all General Elections?

Recommended Posts

Russia having an effect on the election sounds like high level conspiracy theory kookery. Also it was a landslide in the electoral college...the thing that actually decides the results. Saying it's not a landslide is like saying a team that wins 31-10 didn't destroy the other team because the other team had more net yards gained.

LOL. No, this is like the team that lost 31-10 winning, because every point they score is worth 4 points. They call it handicapping for a reason. It's retarded.

So...lets create expenses to combat a problem that does not exist nor is it likely to really begin to exist.

Another great conservative idea.

So it's a cost issue?

That is like saying why have a military when our nation hasn't been to war in X+ years.

Yeah, he dim.

The SJWs are looking fierce.......ly retarded.

They went from 'I suppose it'd be okay so long as it's free' to (after considering how many states would be in play) 'it's simply too much for the taxpayers to pay'.

But wouldn't getting people photo IDs be an enriching thing for those less fortunate? It would allow the to cash checks, own firearms and rent cars.

I'll hang up and listen.

It you can't put in the kind of minimal effort it takes to get an ID, you really have no business voting in the first place. Low/No information voting is just as bad as not voting.

LOL No, this was actual votes. Three million more American citizens wanted Hillary to be their president than Trump. Three Million!! lol Yup, Trump won the electoral college. And everyone knew the rules going in. Not disputing the outcome. But if there was an actual landslide, it was Hillary.

If you're Republican do you waste time campaigning in New York and California? If you're democrat, do you waste time campaigning in Texas?

No. Both candidates go to the swing states and do most of their campaigning. If it was a popular vote election, don't you think Trump goes out and tries to get votes in states he knows he's going to lose? This whole popular vote bullsh¡t faults Trump for concentrating on the states he knew he had to win and rewards Hillary for wasting time padding votes in states she already owned.

Lindsay Graham absolutely destroyed Trump today regarding his unfounded lies about voter fraud.

I'm confused, because libs often tell us how poor the red states are and how they get more government handouts. If this were the case, wouldn't voter ID laws disenfranchise more Republicanso? :dunno:

Trump won fair and square. And is our president. Not sure who you're arguing with. And Hillary won the popular vote by three million. Fact.

Great that gets her nothing why even bring it up? How many garbage men votes did she get because it's just as relevant.

If I remember correctly she didn't make one visit to Wisconsin or Michigan. I could be wrong about MIchigan, but I rmemeber Trump coming to my home state a lot.

My bigger concern re: voter fraud is local elections. This is rarely talked about but there are many more local elections that in small communities may only have 100 (or less) votes, and yeah there individual votes can mean the difference between winning and losing the election.

Here in Philly I have to produce my ID to register and again my first time at a new poll and sign a log next to my original signature. If someone wanted to vote for me they would need to know not only where I vote but also that I haven't voted yet. Either that or they would have to conspire with me to cast my vote? In which case why bother?

I don't doubt that there are shenanigans at the polls. It just seems like a really inefficient way to try to game an election compared to throwing out the "wrong" kind of registrations, spreading misinformation about polling dates / requirements etc.

I don't think there's really any formula.

I can't find the article right now... but I read a piece earlier about a small town in middle America where 97% voted for Trump, while at the same time 1 in 3 of them are on Obamacare.

At face value, it obviously makes no sense, but I'm sure there's some underlying reason they still voted Trump.

If you want to rig an election, enable a bunch of lazy, dumb people just enough to keep them able to vote for you, but make sure they never really escape the need for your help. Then when an election comes along, offer them a bunch of free stuff. Get elected. Deliver on 1/10th of your promises, further enabling your voter base... wash, rinse, repeat.

A. Ask Trump...who is so insecure he had to bring it up again.

B. In this thread it was brought up when someone claimed the people voted and it was a landslide for Trump.

Why is Mr Insecure so obsessed with it? The Cheeto Jesus is actually having his press secretary waste time telling his lies for him. Trump is such a thin skinned pussie that it eats him up inside that he lost the popular election. He's crying about voter fraud in an election he won!! Lol. And if he really thinks there's voter fraud, which nobody else in the entire country believes except for his cronies who believe anything he says, why isn't he opening investigation to get to the bottom of it? He's the president. If there's actually voter fraud, it threatens our democracy going forward. Is he a man or all mouth?

If someone doesn't have a permanent address how do they even get an ID, and further, how do they determine which district they vote it?

Without question. You should have to prove you are a legal citizen of the US to vote in the elections. Can't get one? you can't vote then.

Those people voted for Trump because they perceived that he listened to them -- they don't want free stuff, they want jobs. HTH

Sure...it keeps German citizens from voting...but not some brown people...

Ahead of and behind Mr. Langer were voters who did not look as if they should be allowed to vote, Mr. Trump said, according to the staff members but they were nonetheless permitted to cast provisional ballots. The president threw out the names of Latin American countries that the voters might have come from.

But yeah...fraud such a big problem.

How is it every other country in the world has stricter voting laws than us? Seems like those countries have higher participation rates on top of it.

Can you stop with the racism? It's disgusting and not funny.

Umm...sorry that the words of the President bother you that much. He was the one who inferred such things with the comment about those who didn't look like they were eligible and added the latin american country names. along with the story Trump inserted himself into and pretty much got all the details wrong.

You should ask him to stop rather than whining about the guy on the internet pointing it out.
