Ray_T 741 Posted September 7, 2017 What committee? The only other RB on the roster is West. It's a 50/50 split at worst, but I think Hunt gets about 80% snaps tonight. Actually, he is known for not fumbling. I fully agree with everything here. They will give Hunt the work to see what he can handle. there will be no fumbles with this kid. If I had to bet my life savings on a RB not getting 2 fumbles in one game, this would be one of the guys I'd make that bet on.

BobSanders_33 127 Posted September 8, 2017 Hunt looks good out there but they are getting cute with putting West, Thomas and Hill in backfield.
Ray_T 741 Posted September 8, 2017 has he had a carry since the fumble? yeah, he's had a few. he was the most surehandede back in college and fumbles his first carry against the pats. maybe it's just rookie nerves.

cyclone24 1,912 Posted September 8, 2017 So far I'm glad I trusted my eyes and not the sage advice of sitting him. Oh for Fock sake....here we go. Eyes of what Nostradamus? cyclone24 1,912 Posted September 8, 2017 You didn't bench Fitz bro? Nah....I'm good. Guy I'm playing has a ton of issues...and he started NE defense. Was skeptical of Hunt.....but nice to now know I've got a star for the rest of the year. Demarco, McCoy, Doug Martin, Rawls, Hunt......I'm pretty set all year for backs.
BuschWack 59 Posted September 8, 2017 I traded for Hunt right after our draft... At least the guy who gave him to me for Gillislee didn't get too screwed.

Well duh, if my uncle doesn't get a sex change I don't call him my aunt, so what? He looked great, anyone could see he was a steal in rnd 3 once Ware went down.
Ray_T 741 Posted September 8, 2017 I find that the pats dont do as well early in the year. My rationale: Early in the season when there is no film to break down, the pats D does not do as well with new wrinkles added to an offense. I'm predicting a closer game than we'd normally see if this matchup was happening later in the year. Because they dont know what they are getting, I think the pats will not pay as much attention to Hunt. They will focus on shutting down the known weapons in that offense. That would be Kelce and Hill. I think Hunt will have a good game running the ball, but the New England LB's are smaller and quicker, so I expect they will cap his damage in the pass game my prediction: 18 carries, 90 yards 1 TD. 5 catches 20 yards wow, I knew Hunt would have a good game, but I could not have predicted what we saw today. wow.

Sorry I don't contribute much Suckadumbass, but the kid looked like the goods in yes....the preseason. Do you only look at numbers? Do they tell the whole story? Ray_T 741 Posted September 8, 2017 You know what? I just saw the post game interview with Kareem Hunt. Man, does he ever seem like a good kid. and I mean Kid. he looks so young, and he seems grounded and humble. I hope he has a good, long career.

He will produce 4 page documents that show that a person in their 20s is not legally a kid according to the letter of the law and section D paragraph 21 of the municipal principality of the western common folk people's republic of the governing bodies of henceforth sector B article 29.
GobbleDog 985 Posted September 8, 2017 He looked great, anyone could see he was a steal in rnd 3 once Ware went down. The 5 morons who picked before me in the 3rd round didn't see it! And neither did I until I read some stupid article a few days before the draft that made me start liking him... a little bit of research finally paid off. shutdown 40 Posted September 8, 2017 After reading through this I'm not sure I could trust anyone's advice here. Best just to stick with my own gut feeling. Yeah, It's usually the best way to go. I was obviously wrong on the game script and Hunt exceeded expectations... by a lot. Anyway, just came back in to eat crow it was a good discussion regardless of how stupid Hunt's performance made me look.

shutdown 40 Posted September 8, 2017 Ok now that we have called each other out and patted ourselves on the back... Do we try selling high? Since I'm 0-1 with prognostications... I'm not sure you'd sell him at all. I liked him as a third round ADP, I thought the opportunity would be there, I just thought this would be a poor game script for him and one where you may have seen more of West purely for blocking and receiving skills. After watching the game, I'm not sure who you'd want to move him for outside of Johnson, Bell, or Antonio Brown. I don't think this was a one week phenomenon, I think he's set to have a very good season. There's just no way you can bring an 8th man down in the box on KC with Hill and Kelce threatening you vertically on both the boundary and the seam. I suppose if he keeps this up, teams will resort to single coverage on those two, counting on Alex Smith to not throw deep in single coverage, but at this point I think he's going to have a lot of room to run for the next several games. So probably the exact opposite of what I just said will happen...
bandrus1 413 Posted September 8, 2017 The only think that concerned me was west scoring that last TD...
Mike Nice 40 Posted September 8, 2017 I'd say his value is right around bell and David Johnson. Sound about right?
Maulers1973 117 Posted September 8, 2017 It's only one game, but the Patriots have a good defense. I'll be licking my chops when he faces the Chargers twice!! I was also really high on Hill going into the draft, but I got outbid for him. He had a good night too. Did anyone start Smith at QB? lol

ZeroTolerance 584 Posted September 8, 2017 Only landed him in one of three leagues (wasn't willing to finish a bidding war that was going to push his price into the top 8 RBs) but one is better than none.

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted September 8, 2017 After reading through this I'm not sure I could trust anyone's advice here. Best just to stick with my own gut feeling. I think this is a great move. I totally whiffed on predicting him this game. Thought the Pats were going to impress in week 1. Good on the Chiefs for that 2nd half. Didn't see the 2nd half but assuming Hunt was awesome. So far guys who picked Hunt looking brilliant. Congrats.
