MTSkiBum 1,606 Posted May 8, 2018 Dain, 90's, and Timmy. They selected the most movies that I would want to watch. For example, I did not count Casablanca as any points, since I have no desire to watch that movie. Where as I could sit down and rewatch Office Space again. I know Cassablanca is a better movie than Office Space, but it did not weigh in my judging.

Herbivore 920 Posted May 9, 2018 I went with 90s, nzoner, and myself. Thanks Volty for working this so well. It was fun. Glad that people added clips. I have seen most of these movies but have added a few to check out, Stalag 17, Little Big Man, The Kings Speech(this has been on my watch list for a while), and many posted that I would like to check out again. If I can recommend any movie on my list, I would like to hear what people have to say about Hot Fuzz. In closing, MTSkiBum, watch Casablanca its great flick. nzoner 936 Posted May 9, 2018 Little Big Man, Excellent choice and although it was my pick if you haven't seen my 70's pick of Sorcerer highly recommend. I'll add my vote later as I'm still mulling this over, there were some great picks made by everyone.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted May 9, 2018 For the record I wouldn't and didn't vote for myself. All lists are great. Voltaire and Dain stood out with the most films that I could watch over and over. I wish I had a Tarantino film, I would have chosen Kill Bill first, but you need both of them. The Hateful Eight is a masterpiece, that is the one I should have grabbed. nzoner 936 Posted May 9, 2018 I did the same and cast my vote for others(although I did love my draft). My votes went to the guys that had 3 films on their list IMO I could watch over and over and.... Volty-The Godfather,Unforgiven,The Breakfast Club Shots-A Clockwork Orange,Raging Bull,The Long Riders Herb-True Romance,The Wall,The Warriors

Voltaire 4,630 Posted May 10, 2018 Nothing wrong with popcorn movies,in fact based on the fact I have 1 vote I'd say the majority of geeks enjoy the same kind of movies. I love doing this drafting stuff but I don't much like or enjoy the voting afterwards. And especially, especially with you. You'll post stuff that maybe people haven't heard or watched and it's just a name on a list. And you don't care and you post it. And then voting time comes and your reward for your efforts is low votes. You don't even vote for yourself. That's what "Roam" by the B52s was. A name on a list. When I clicked on Roam, I wasn't expecting much. Working down the list, I gave it an ear because I was determined to give all the songs an ear. Well, I was blown away. What a great song, I've played the hell out of it since then. It's one of my favorite songs. Youtube knows I like it, every time I'm looking up something on there now, it is over on the right tempting me to click it again. I know in my case, with the music, I always like your lists much better AFTER the voting than DURING the voting. A shoutout to HT who is the same way. Movies are hard man. Harder than music. You have to give them 2 hours, not 5 minutes. Because I've come to trust your judgement on music, when you posted that clip and recommended City of God, I went and downloaded it. That clip was intense. And again, what a powerful story. I live how you draft.... and it's also why I don't like voting on these things anymore, even though I usually do quite well.

Appreciate it and I'll pimp it one more time but also on my movies list check out Sorcerer with Roy Scheider,I hate the name as it sounds like a fantasy sci/fi movie but it's far far from that and is a remake of a 50's film called The Wages Of Fear. I havent played fantasty football in at least five years, yet I spend hours on end at a ff site. Hmm. I should start a league at my new school next year. Its always more fun when you can sh!t talk face to face. Probably not enough American guys though. iam90sbaby 2,167 Posted May 10, 2018 32 focking rounds????? The last 10 rounds are what really separated each list from the others. Would have been really hard to determine a winner with only 15-20 rounds. It was time consuming for sure though.
