I'm just dandy. Thanks.  I hope your boy is ok. He took his signature issue and has turned something Obama had under control into an emergency. Couldn't have possibly f--cked things up worse.

I still remember when this broke, FBGs refused to have a thread on it forever and Joe had to start a thread and then sternly warn people to behave in it.  Just totally embarrassing for Joe.

We dont outwardly say we want "open borders"...but when speaking of interior enforcement we just say "whats the point"?  HT is dead on here.

Nice! I knew it all along, the LA times covered it a while ago. But I liked watching Newbie regurgitate more spoon fed bullshit from his owners. Woof woof.

Clinton created detention centers.  They were at their peak of capacity when Trump inherited them from Obama (don't recall hearing any of this from the media).

Record setting numbers of people want in on Trump's record breaking economy. Something Obama didn't have to worry about.

Disagreeing with how Trump wants to handle the border is not calling for open borders. That's a Trump talking point to rile up the same numbskulls that he convinced that they all were rapists and drug dealers.   When Obama left office, illegal immigration was at a nearly 50 year low. It exploded under Trump and is now at a 20 year high.  Trump totally screwed immigration up, and it is his signature issue.

I don't see it that way.  I see it that because the Dems are giving such freedom of mobility and access to our way of life without restricting it, is the very reason there is an influx of illegal immigration.

Trump didn't screw anything up, Congress (primarily, but not only the Democrats), did, and they're (the Democrats), exacerbating it and blaming it on Trump. The real problem with this country right now isn't "Fake News", it truly is the current makeup of the Democrat party, plain and simple.

Democrats had a deal in place early on in Trump's presidency. 20+ billion for his wall in exchange for protection for the dreamers. Trump turned it down. Trump wants everything his way or the highway. That's not how it works. Democrats agreed on a infrastructure deal too. Trump refused to discuss it when the time came to sit down.  Blaming Democrats for the state of our country is laughable. Trump has misplayed his hand every step of the way and now he can forget getting anything done. He wants to be a king, not a president.

Then I'm laughable then.  If all the Democrat politicians left today and were replaced by Republicans (moderate ones - we don't need the nut jobs from the right either), this country would be humming by the end of Trumps 2024 year.  They are the worst kind of people on this planet, nut just the country.  Oh, and I'm talking about the politicians, not the general public.

Unfortunately, the country revolted against Trump in 2018 and created the blue wave in congress. That's how the country works. Of course Trump sheep want all Republicans. Just like the other side would like all Democrats and feel the country would be much better off.

Literally, no, but in essence, yes.  Minorities would have more money.  Costs would go down as competition would rise.  Less restrictions would open the market for multiple options for health care.  The borders would be secure and manufacturing would be up.  Wasteful government spending would be down substantially.

No it didn't.  Every president lost seats in the house and senate during his first mid-term, not just Trump.  Hell, Obama lost the majority on both sides.  Not only did Trump not lose both sides, he lost less seats than any president in the last 40 years.  He's going to win again in 2020 and the Republicans are going to take back the House.  The Democrats are going too far left and the Independents won't go that far.  There will be a lot more minorities voting red in 2020 than in decades.  Etch that down in stone.

Biggest democratic seat flip since 1974. It was a direct referendum on Trump.  Which was my point. You said if Republicans could take over all political positions blah blah blah.  I was just pointing out that the country seems to be wanting the exact opposite.

History has shown that more money in the hands of citizens drives the National Debt up.  Recession is the only thing that reverses it.  For a different thread.

If you were sane, you would understand that every President's party loses in the 1st mid terms (Obama's got slaughtered), but then he wins re-election.  It's all cyclical.  The whole "referendum" thing doesn't exist.

Maybe you didn't see the 'biggest blue house flip since 1974' part.  This wasn't business as usual. And I never said it guarantees Trump isn't getting reelected. That has zero to do with my point.

Republicans picked up 63 House seats in 2010.   Dems picked up 41 seats in 2018.  Find someone who can do the math for you.

Then why did Obama get re-elected if "the country seemed to be wanting the exact opposite" by the results of 2010 mid terms?  Why was 2010 not a direct referendum on Obama?

Dude, perhaps you should follow the chain of discussion before making an ass of yourself.  Telling me Republican numbers from 2010 has absolutely NOTHING to do with my discussion with TBayXXX.  You're running your mouth and it's totally irrelevant to the discussion.

That's because people want to live outside of their means.  It's also because there are Democrats who create victims, spend money to fix it, when it doesn't work, they claim it's because they didn't spend enough money and that Republican's caused it.
