Coronavirus - Doomsday

"It would be absolutely impossible" to test positive because you got the vaccine, says Jeremy Kamil, a virologist at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport.

This is because the tests are "testing for something not in the vaccine," says Dr. Seth Cohen, an infectious disease physician and medical director of Infection Prevention & Control at the University of Washington Medical Center.

The vaccine and the tests are based upon different parts of the COVID virus. "All the vaccines in the United States use the spike genetic material," says Kamil. "All of the home tests detect something called nucleocapsid," a protein not found in the vaccine.

It is because of the lockdown. People’s immune systems have been compromised because of a lack of exposure to germs etc.

Gotcha.  I particularly worry about the infants who were isolated for their early development.  I expect them to have significant problems with immune issues as they age.  The Party of Science will of course fall back on "we had to save the infants from the 0.0000000000000001% Covid death rate, it was out of love!"

Oh, so you admit staying home resulted in at worst a delay in Covid infections?

On that note, I’d be interested to see if the “record” RSV infections of the past 2 years are really just the same total they would have been but spreading out those that would have likely occurred in 2020 into 2021 and 2022

It’s an even better picture than I thought.  Cumulative hospitalizations for RSV from October 2021-September 2022 were actually lower than from October 2019-April 2020.  So, Baker Boy and Horseman wrong again.  Sorry guys

That's not what happened, Baker Boy is wrong.  What happened is the past 2 years with the quarantines and distancing, RSV hasn't spread much, so there became a large number of children that were never exposed, and now that we're pretty much back to normal, they're all getting exposed.  So it's like 3 years of cases all happening in one year.  Make sense?

I understand this argument and it is surely part of the increase, but let's wait a few years and see how it plays out.  Hopefully there will be no long-term susceptibility issue with diseases in general, but I'm not optimistic.

This year dumbass. Can't you read?  If you learn how to read a graph go ahead and map it out against when schools opened with the appropriate year delay added in.

I know it's hard for you, but, try using your brain instead of pulling BS off of twitter.  I mean even the MSM news outlets are reporting the cause of RSV we are seeing this year correctly.

Wait are you claiming there were a meaningful # of schools closed in October 2021?  Because that’s not true at all.   Many were requiring masks though at least at first and more people were probably actually keeping their kids home if they were sick, so maybe that helped keep down RSV cases…

Heck the MSM was even talking about RSV outbreaks last winter, I’m sure it was talked about here.  Yet, looking at the data, that wasn’t really true—the season started earlier and lasted longer, but cumulatively was similar to pre-Covid years.

Even this year, it started earlier again, but TBD if that will mean it will actually be worse overall.   And it would need to be significantly worse for the total of the 3 years to be worse than it would have been if Covid never happened.

Fine with me if you never want another vaccine again, or any medication for that matter.

Sad (for you) that you cannot tell useless garbage that never worked with medication that does. Yeah, I take certain medicine because it works and is needed. I didn't take the useless EXPERIMENTAL jab because I figured it wouldn't work and figured it would kill people. I was right on both.

That article appears to refer to adults; I see no mention of infants.

It seems the medical community has not pinpointed the underlying mechanisms, but the hygiene hypothesis for young children is a real thing supported by epidemiological data.  Here is an article about it regarding asthma, and RSV in particular, from the FDA:

https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/consumers-biologics/asthma-hygiene-hypothesis

And this about autoimmune disorders, from Frontiers in Immunology and Nature:

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fimmu.2020.615192/full

https://www.nature.com/articles/nri.2017.111

From this last article:

Quote

The incidence of autoimmune diseases has been steadily rising. Concomitantly, the incidence of most infectious diseases has declined. This observation gave rise to the hygiene hypothesis, which postulates that a reduction in the frequency of infections contributes directly to the increase in the frequency of autoimmune and allergic diseases. This hypothesis is supported by robust epidemiological data, but the underlying mechanisms are unclear.

So we might see a significant increase in allergies and autoimmune disorders from the isolation.

BTW MIT Medical is a care network, not a research organization.

This one cites your article and then seems to somewhat refute it, for infants/young children anyway:

Quote

In a paper that appeared in the journal Perspectives in Public Health in 2016, Prof. Sally F. Bloomfield and colleagues examine Dr. Strachan’s original paper.

They write: “The immune system is a learning device, and at birth it resembles a computer with hardware and software but few data. Additional data must be supplied during the first year of life, through contact with microorganisms from other humans and the natural environment.”

...

The authors point to the post-hygiene hypothesis theory known as the old friends (OF) mechanismTrusted Source.

Introduced in 2003, it suggests that the important exposures to microbes in early life are not actually colds, measles, or other childhood ailments, but rather those microbes that were already around during the hunter-gatherer period, when the immune system was evolving.

These microbes include species that live in both indoor and outdoor environments, and they come from the skin, gut, and respiratory tracts of other people.

“OF exposures are vital,” say the researchers, “because they interact with the regulatory systems that keep the immune system in balance and prevent overreaction, which is an underlying cause of allergies. Diversity of microbial exposure is key.”

They note that the most important times in life for OF exposure are during pregnancy, delivery, and the first months of infancy. They also add that continuing exposure from the mother and siblings is vital.

Well since you guys have nothing other than vaccine effectiveness against infection, here are some of the lies from the GC in this thread, just off the top of my head, all of which have been factually proven wrong:

-flu was just being marked as covid

-most positive Covid test results were false positives

-total death rate of Covid was only 0.003% (or some other ridiculously low #)

-total deaths didn’t increase in 2020 (debunking the “Johns Hopkins study” that said this was really why I started posting here in the first place)

-94% of Covid deaths were “with not from”

-the vaccines don’t work to reduce hospitalization and death

-the vaccines have killed 100k+ (I think this is mostly just lod at least)

-ivermectin/HCQ/Vitamin D etc are miracle drugs

-Delta was caused by the vaccine

Sure I’m forgetting some.    But it was just Fauci and Birx that were lying, right?

forgot to bump this earlier, I know some others were added along the way.  But I’ll grant “amnesty” for those that admit they were wrong about these.

Went to the supermarket the other day and saw over 75% of the people were wearing masks.  Also they were mostly old.  Thought maybe I intruded on the immunocompromised shopping hours but no I was good.  People masking up again.  I thought about punching them and yelling FREEDOM but I had to make dinner.
