The criminal trespass, and possible burglary (allegedly took a hammer), along with a history of alleged break-ins in the neighborhood give the rednecks reason to go after Ahmed. The open carry may have been excessive, but Ahmed was a big black dude who was just committing a crime. No way to know if he was armed, unarmed, violent. His criminal history, if the paw in the truck did recognize him, would justify being armed. His actions as he ran past the truck prove he was violent. In the video where Ahmed attacks the kid with the shotgun and punches him in the face, it appears the rednecks are parked and waiting on him. The story is that the rednecks gave chase, Ahmed cut through some yards and/or circled back around, and eventually he ran back into them parked in the road.
