So you're position is that parents should be able to give puberty blockers and pursue surgery for their children.  No age limit I presume, because parents know best.

Let me throw out some of my own red herrings.  You believe that parents should be able to send their kids to conversion therapy.  They should ignore requests for using different names or pronouns, or recognizing in any way that they might be on the spectrum.  Parents know best, right?

My position makes them wait until kids are past puberty with its confusing effects, past the social pressures of high school, and approaching (but not reached) the full development of their prefrontal cortex.  Yours allows confused kids with woke parents to perform permanent, life-altering medical procedures, after which many people regret their decisions as they mature.  I sleep fine at night.

Your solution assumes you know better than “woke” parents and doctors how to raise their kids. And based on your posts regarding this issue, I am confident that every set of parents with a kid considering transition who has met with doctors is far better informed.

No, you are mistaking conservative anger at cultural shifts, which are not being put into law. Conservatives do not like these cultural shifts, so attempt to pass laws to prevent them from occurring. Funny how the side that claims they hate government interference is the side passing laws telling parents how to raise their kids, or even forcing people to be parents that wanted an abortion instead.

It's true that some states are passing laws to protect unborn children, while others are passing laws to make it easier to kill them.  That's what happens when SCOTUS overturns bad jurisprudence and returns the decision to the states, which is a conservative position.  

Federal agencies have been weaponized in recent years:  FBI, DOJ, IRS off the top of my head, they have attempted to take power away from states with bills like the voting act, and they work with social media to control info like the Hunter Biden story during the last presidential election.

They are being groomed and mutilated which is why we're doing our damnedest to get those practices banned from red states and communities. We don't want your sicko friends to get their hands on our kids.

Know this though: I am not looking for a nationwide ban on things, if the country is going to stay unified, there has to be a federalist system where people with red morality and people with blue morality can live in their own states with separate rules and don't fock with the other ones. If you don't like the one set of beliefs, well you can go over there. To break a Senate filibuster takes 60 votes, I think your side should take recourse in that, since the Republicans aren't the ones threatening the filibuster's existence.

My family will be relocating back to the US in a matter of months and the only places we are considering, exclusively, are the reddest parts of red states. (Spoiler alert: almost surely small town Florida). No offense, but my wife and I both find people with your belief to be culturally repulsive and abhorrent, and we don't want people who harbor such beliefs anywhere near our children: not culturally, socially, nor politically. Just the thought of a flight layover in California makes me ill.

$209k for puberty blockers?  I will admit that I’m sure there is an ulterior motive for some of these clinics or whatever that stand to make a ton of money off of these practices (and I’ve applauded Matt Walsh for attacking that angle), but I don’t necessarily buy that many of these kids really need all that much “convincing” that they want to transition.
