Band review- Foreigner

Recommended Posts

A Little Rock n roll in the house tonight. Foreigner.

Damn these guys are getting old. But they still put on a good rock show.
Totally sold out show. Raining like hell and most folks were soaked by the time they got inside.
Plenty of umbrellas ended up in lost and found.

Band is totally afraid of the COVID- the front of the stage was stationed off and 2 security officers had to sit in front of the stage so guests didn’t get too close.

Still- pretty damn good show- just some good old rock and roll.

Choir performed for 7 minutes.
30 minute intermission.
Foreigner played a 100 minute set.

I saw them Sunmer of 2019 at an outdoor in the grass.  Pretty good... But I fortunately I realized while waiting for my favorite Foreigner songs I had mistaken them for Bad Company songs.  True story... 😄

Mick Jones is probably the only remaining original member.

Lou Gramm probably isn't with them, but damn, back in the day he was as good as any rock vocalist.

Kelly whatshisname does a nice job of replacing Lou

I gotta admit... it's a sappy ass power ballad, but I will sing the sh!t out of “I wanna know what love is” every time I hear it. If you don't, you have no soul.

Did they do Dirty White Boy?

No sure. I don’t get to spend the entire night in the auditorium so I don’t catch the whole performance.

Couple folks on my team said it was the best show since we started back at 100% capacity in June.

A bunch of my favorite Foreigner songs that weren't really hits.....

Starrider / The Damage is Done / Blue Morning, Blue Day / Fool For You Anyway / Love on the Telephone

Yes!  I remember loving Starrider.  Also remember the next two you listed; probably all of them if I listened to them.

For as crusty as they are, they still put on a good show. Saw them open for Kid Rock a few years back and they blew him out of the water.

That's a store. We have them here in China. I have no idea where it's based out of. Their symbol is very naziesque I find.

I think you need to write a memoir about songs and how they tie in with your sexual exploits.

Your story regarding Deep Purple's "Knocking At Your Backdoor" was a classic!

Bunny needs to write a memoir in general. I've been telling him that for years.

Now that you're sober and semi settled, you should do it.

I was playing cards with my dad listening to the radio and Juke Box Hero came on.  My dad says " This is a good song, have you heard it?"  I say " yea it's Juke Box Hero by Foreigner from the 80s, one of their best songs".

They do sound similar.  I get Bad Company and Foreigner confused sometimes.  I just looked it up to make sure and Juke Box Hero is a Foreigner song.
