What's your Fave Sammiches?

Banh mi

Although there are very few sandwiches I do not like. The list would be 40 long if I named them all.

Yeah I'm lazy. I want to travel 20+ miles south to eat a sandwich in a crap neighborhood smothered in butter and garlic when all it takes is to do it myself in 5 minutes time. Great post pvssy.

Oh , I’m a pvssy because I don’t appreciate a tired joke from a movie from 40 years ago?

For the record the Turkey Reuben >  Traditional Reuben.

ETA:  Corned Beef may be the worst thing ever.  It's SPAM with salt and pink nitrates.

A good old Turkey club with a bowl of soup, split pea with ham being my choice, on a winters day is great.

Concur. A corn beef Reuben kinda sucks. Pastrami much better, Turkey even better.

In the Carolinas we have a fried shrimp burger. It's called a burger because of the bun.  Proper is with coleslaw and a dab of ketchup.

So good.

Be honest.  It's not a good sandwich, you are just saying that because it's different. I wanted to like the Banh Mi.  Every Vietnamese place I went I ordered.

Bottom line, get the Pho....thats where its at.  The sandwiches suck.

I eat banh mi at least once a week and the only restaurant I have ever added to my phone as a contact is the vietnamese restaurant close to my house. The key is to get extra veggies imo.

People have different taste in food, I am not a huge fan of pho. When I go out and eat Asian soup I get ramen.

Edit, not all vietnamese restaurants serve a good banh mi, probably around 1 in 4 or so. Most have a pretty average sandwich.

My real answer

1. Philly cheesesteak - Provolone, onions and mayo

2. Grilled Cheese

3. Fried Shrimp Po Boy - Lettuce, tomatoes, and remoulade

4. Liverwurst on white with pickles

5. Hot Pastrami & Swiss on an onion roll

Sounds really delicious but I’d sub a nice spicy cocktail sauce over the ketchup

@The General

More madness.

Have you put cranberries in your mayo, Bier Meister? Perhaps this is what you need to bridge the mayo gap.

I like aiolis and misc flavors. For certain sandwiches I have added preserves to mayo.

this not something I go out my way to do at home, but will add pesto to mayo for turkey or chicken. Chipotle, tapenade, lime, etc

edit: but also have done similar with cream cheese (and other soft cheeses) to use as spreads.

Most split pea soup tastes like eating that stuff that builds up on the inside of your lawnmower when the grass is too wet.      Have a good recipe?
